Just had a word with a keen Fergus who is reaching the men - o - pause that's pause and then say 'oh yeh!'

OK the dates are Friday 4th to Bank Holiday Monday 7th May 2012. pick from that what you want.

location to be discussed here

I'm happy with going further west or back to Llangollen. If we say this year that the deposit is $15 payable in advance to this site? how about that? daft? or how about another way? Just conscious that we had an awful lot of cast-iron gauranteed 100% people not there in 2011.

so say yes first
say where second
say for how long for third

Ed feels we should stick to UHE members or guys on a Husaberg?
good point and probably gaurantees just the one group but if open to 'friends of' then we'll likely go to two groups.

why not say to anyone: we want to see what happens as places solidify?

I must say, if the riding in '12 is as good as this year, the weather, well it got my Carling award of 'if Carling did trail weekends...'

Yo Taffy , It's Baz ex trailworld guide ! hope ur ok ! i've got an 09 570 , had her from new n love it ! I'll be up for this force ride in May :D been looking at this forum for ages but only just registered , be good to catch up with ya , so long as we've got spare keys !!!!!! if ya ever wanna go peaks or wales let me know TTFN HB

Whato Barry!

member of the GLC!

I'll put you down for this my man, two years of ownership and only just joined so I guess it has been reliable. :D we'll have to catch up fella, I have several Luton people on the books and ask them if they know you or Paul etc.

If Ed is up for this we'll have all the leadership qualities we'll need - a top man.

I know you're a real green lane nut and James came to your ride at Xmas two years ago in the snow (he was on his 2T Husky so we don't talk about it).

Done the GLC mega ride 2 years running now - both in deep snow - both on the Husky 2t (now semi retired pending which way I go with the berg). I did hand out FRUK 11 flyers to every berg rider on the mega ride but no-one seemed keen.

Anyway - FRUK 12 can't wait !! -

1/ Book me in for May Bank hol.
2/ Place - not fussed - just being there is a crack.
3/ Bikes - lets see what shapes up - as I said after the recent Wales weekend; weaker riders like me feel bad if they slow down or minimize the larger better group but if the group is very small (like on day 2) then everyone assists & helps the slower. Therefore I'd suggest a bigger group of at least 12no. with a novice & expert group as if the group was small as noted it wouldn't be much of a force ride.

Having said that, I hope to be competing end Oct with my new sprockets 13 / 52 (Taff !!!) plus my set back triple clamp at 20mm (KTM / ebay issue) so I'm hoping I'll be in the expert group next year............some hope..doh.

well I recon two sixes would be enough James. the thing is, getting someone who knows the way to ride in each group. I'm sure that that's do-able.

was this years (20111) laid back enough or do we want more sorted. deposit?

let's have some names down for this then? come on folks let's get to the minimum of say 8+ and then we're go! and if we get to 14 we make James' day!!!!!

im deffo up for it. Knee is all better now did enduroland last week. think i was the only berg there!!

haven't they got some sprint extreme enduro coming up? or am I thinking of someone else? :? :?

Taffy

im not sure but theres one in banbury on the 30th of this month if you fancy it. think a few of us are heading down there as they are pretty well organised with no pressure while i build up stamina and strength in the old knee. they do a £50 for fastest lap sprint aswell.

Not sure if there will be much interest as the riding looks a bit boring

Great pics Ed, looks like some very boring trails!!

Taffy, TnT (track n trail) are running an Extreme Event on Portland in a couple of weeks.

Pending work which I'll check when I'm back count me in, can't wait; last year was a blast!

I'm not fussed about the location but Wales is reasonably central and has great riding, maybe a different area though to mix things up.

More the merrier as far as I'm concerned but this is a Husaberg ride out so it would be daft if people weren't at least with a mate on a Berg.

Deposit wise i think that could complicate matters, plus if people don't want to be there, I'd rather not have them there.

Fergus called and reconfirmed today thatb he's up for it. busy man - says he can change a nappy with his eyes closed :D :D :D

I'll take his word for it. it's one record I don't want to compete at!

Potty

well it's in April/May we need to see you mate so let's hope your ToD works right. your welcome-we'll find a ride for you.

If it is to be half as good as earlier this year it will be brilliant. The guy who bought my 501 is also keen to come along, so hopefully another teamster for the trip. Looking forward to it!! I can't think of anywhere better than where we went, in terms of variety of terrain and space. Taffy mentioned the Isle of Man, would that become too difficult for everyone to get to? If only tyres were as easy to change as nappies these days!

well we're on 7 with ****** a 95% and wishiwasinusa a hopeful. plumbob hasn't actually said yet? Mark2eo hasn't either here although he said yes when we rode in the Brecons in September. Marks friend from that weekend ***** will be up for it if Mark is? Cypher?

I've got 3-5 more possibles and all on Husabergs.

of course if I was to tempt Ned37 with a bike or Jeff (coronaberg....)

regards

Taffy
