So what is the rule on open fires? Is it lack of firewood that is the problem? I have a cure for that. Are old class "C" motorhomes allowed? How about a fat, slow lawyer from Oregon with an '03 Berg? :)

sorry, we have a use for old motorhomes and '03 bergs so that just leaves...(LOL!)

however this is old ***** territory so we'll try and put in a good word for you, see if we can't get you a weekend pass.

regards

FROGGYFARTPANTS!!! You're killin me Taffy, that's funny!!!!! Beer tents are good. Beer farts in the cabins are better. You can watch their eyes water. I'm sure this thread will go down hill completely now.

Tents and heaters???? You guys can sleep in the dirt all you want. I had enough of that in the Marines. Hotels for me baby...

the only problem may be getting from the camp to the hotel.
it seems we party a bit at the camp and you may become 'unable' to drive.
utah is a tuff state.

the cabins are ok, wood floors, beds, heat/ac, light and a door.
alot better than the dirt, but not the hilton either.

That works for me barring any unforseen catastrophes.
1) I can take some organizational responsibilities.
2) If someone wants to fly into Phoenix, let me know.
3) I may have an extra bike or 2, as always the stable is influx. I should loose a KTM this week and gain another Berg. The master plan is to be down to 2 bikes by then.
4) Do we want to be ready to ride Thursday or Friday?
5) I take it Slickrock Campground will be our destination.
Can I go? Please !? Can I, huh? Can I, huh? ;)

I'll help berger with the "orginizational responsiblilties"

I just read the whole thread and I am amazed that we will be hosting so many people from 'across the pond'. You guys are in for a real treat.

As last year, I will let someone drive one of my trucks with a toyhauler from Phoenix, that will provide tranport for bikes to Moab and to and from the staging areas each day. We will drive up on Wed to organize the parking and cabin situation. As last year, we will get the RV spaces next to the cabins and the bikes will all be safe and secure corralled next to our motorhome. This year, bobzilla, you are on your own 'cause I aint awaiting for you to get up at the crack of noon to go ride. I like to ride early (to beat the rush to th E.R.), go eat lunch and then ride again in the afternoon. We can get a couple of groups riding at different start times to suite everyone's needs or preferences.

The boys are looking forward to seeing you again Taffy.
We can visit the Grand Canyon on the way home if any of the Euro guys would like to see it. Ask Taffy if he thought it was worth the trip.

Brian/Splat, Just knowing that you and berger will be there organizing things makes it that much harder to wait for March, you guy's did a great job in PHX and in Moab last year! :director:

I have been collecting some salsas and hot sauces for you to try, maybe we can do brisket again one night. What is the head count at present or is to early to know? :violent3:

I found a good short ride that can start and end near Ken's Lake just south of town 32 miles round trip some slickrock, a creek crossing with a 7 foot solid rock bank (slippery when wet) washes and hills, a good tune up for the riding conditions of the area.

hey all,
should we have a big bbq one nite?
like steaks, cburgers, chili, pot luck, etc.?
i wouldn't mind because i can keep the cost
down and eat good food i like.
so whats everyone ideas for food?
is it too early to think about this stuff?

Force Ride East ??

Good Evening
I'm new to this forum. I was looking around and saw where there was a Force Ride East?
I think it was slated for the Hatfield McCoy trail system in W/VA.
Did this ride take place and are there pics or copy from attendees AND, in the spring, would there be interest in another Force Ride East location?
Thanks,

Partsforu

Thanks for the compliment. Berger really gets all the credit for the Phx ride.

Way too early to know. We should get a firm head count by the Friday of the ride ;)

Sounds good. I was thinking that we should plan to ride one day at Green River. The slick rock bowls are over a thousand feet in diameter and hundreds of feet high.

Just trying to get back on track here. An accidental hi jacking me thinks.
