Splat, We did a 100 miler, about 30 miles West of Green River in May. The San Rafael Swell area and ended up in Black Dragon Wash ,Awesome country and not much technical stuff.
Hopefully it's still in my GPS. Need to allow an hour or so travel time from Moab.

that stuff is all pretty well mapped. what i've explored on the north side of I70 is fun sweeping sandwashes, occasional rocky bits, 1 very slightly semi-technical bit near the south end of devil's racetrack, and generally a buncha fun.

south of 70 u have the dick brass trails, including 5 miles of hell, which is also a buncha fun if u like rocks.

hopefully a few people will have gps's and bring their download cables. i should have a pc there with nat'l geographic Topo on it and a fairly substantial quantity of gps's routes in moab and southern white wash, and i may be able to offer advice on route selection for intermediate riders.

We rode the area south of the highway, about 10 miles east of Green River. Not very technical, but lots of fun and awesome views.

you just need someone to show you where the cool stuff is, lol. none of it is really crazy tech, but there is alot of flowing singletrack, twisty rocky wash, and at least 1 section that i guarantee most of the group would bulldog down rather than trying to ride (i didn't ride it, lol).

i still have my husaberg coffee cup from the last moab trip (before i even owned a berg). it was a nice reminder to me to keep my desire to get a 550 burning.

COFFEE CUP. BEFORE I EVEN OWNED A BERG!!!!

isn't that just great! we had approximately 21 riders last time i should think on any one day. overall probably 25-28.

glad you got one velo. we really MUST outnumber the non-husa's this time though as it was about 50-50 last.

brett
i can't speak for everyone, hell i'm not even an american. but we really did have everything sorted by our lonesomes last time. why not just bring yourselves and enjoy it...

how about some force gear to try? so someone could try a bike with the force stuff fitted or maybe send a box of force bits. you either get them back and we've tested them or you get a little pile of cash.

or howabout a works bike. no not to trash coz we're still in our groups and need to be sensible. but it could be seen as a concept bike by some: in other words, you ride it for an hour in the group and find out what real suspension, handling, riding position etc etc is. just a thought.

how about sponsoring a limited addition T-shirt because this is possibly the only group cost which we would ask an individual to take a punt at something and he hopes to get his money back later? underwriting a force 2 T-shirt means nobody is out of pocket.

another one is to literally leave us a pile of spare parts for the get offs and an SEM or two and again, get them all back or a pile of cash.

sorry if my ideas are off the wall.

but a big thanks from everyone here for the offer.

regards

Taffy

Hey I was only part time non HUSA I was HUSA until the HUSA broke then I was DRZ and now I am HUSA again

SPARES! YES! a good idea especially levers and pedals in Moab you can never have enough levers

Taffy, I believe the offer was for free merchandise; i.e. coffee cups, hats, etc.

Hey Brett, how about a couple new bikes to demo?

I asked BMG last time, but noooo, they were too cheap.

We can do both of these.

Please do me a favor and send me an email of what details you would like on the shirt, and we'll get our artist on it. Get me a list of sizes as well.

Also Taffy, send me a list of what parts you think would be appropriate to bring, and either Fry or I will administer the distribution of them. 25% off for any parts an attendee wants to buy at this ride. Prior to the parts being sold, I'll need your credit card number for security ;)

Cheers

A SEM stator and flywheel would be good for me.

I think someone should pack a stator per group. Seriously.

fat barsteward sizes i think will be most appropriate and they'll also fit the most people.
currently wearing a nike t-shirt size xl.

Sound Like A Good Idea,Maybe Have Our Real Names And Screen Names With Our National Flags As One Sleeve.
Could Also Have Learner Plates On The Back For Those Beginers Like Me:lol:

cypher, kez

we ought to have a days riding together before we go out there? wales sounds just the place unless the idea is to find some dry novice stuff in which case cambridgeshire is!!!! flat and lots of green lanes everywhere. get the keys to my house in a week+ (your mortgage has been approved, we now have you by the bollocks mr. Lloyd...) you're most welcome but a ride out? lots of spare time at Xmas and january.

regards

Taffy

Sounds Like A Good Idea To Me. Still Havent Riden My Bike yet.
Doesnt Really Matter Where I Go,Just Gotta Borrow The Ol Mans Van.
Still A Few Things I'd Like To Get Done With The Bike And The Cold Weathers Not Helping Me Now.
Great Garage And All That.
I'm At My Aunts Place In Burnham-On-Sea At The End Of December,Might Be Hard To Get The Bike Over There Though.

all change in wrk at moment so don't know what i'm going to be wrking. should be sorted in next few weeks

Holy Crap! I haven't been here in so long I feel out of sorts. Well any way I think I live about the closest to Moab 3hrs. 15 min pulling travel trailer. Hit it last weekend with my brother and his Honda contingent. Had a great time first time riding there for me. Every body is plated for the street so we just headed out from the RV park, hit the White rim trail on Saturday 150 miles round trip 35 pavement the rest dirt great tune up ride, you can really let the bike stretch it's legs. Then Sunday we went to the top of Gemini bridges and rode the Metal Masher loop (skipped "Widow Maker") 50 miles round trip 10 plus on the pavement. I sure forgot how beautiful those Canyonlands are. We are trying to make it over a few more times before the March Force ride. Is it alright to bring my Honda mounted brother? He's not nearly as fast as he used to be, almost lost him a few years ago (he's had his large intestine removed) so I just like to ride with him any chance I get, and besides he's willing to bring the Grand Daddy to the Bergs a 1984 Husqvarna CR 500 with the WR 6 speed transmission SCARY FAST !! Every once in a while I ride it just to blow the doors off CRF 450 & WR 450 riders. Well I promise to have the cold beers waiting when everyone arrives at Moab in March
