Force Ride 2

No, no snow, just awesome riding and great atmosphere.

I guess you get the same when you take the wife to Hawaii?

well if we win the lottery, we'll do both trips. She wants to go. What kind of tires work good in that rock slab moab stuff? usually in March here in NorCal it's still wet n muddy riding and my bike is outfitted with michelin S-12s great CA mud and nevada sand tire, but could be slippery on wet rock sand stone.

what is the Moab tire of choice? and low temps in early march? 20F? 40f? morning temps? elevation?

A good intermediate tire or trials tire on the rear. I would not necessarily run a new tire as it is likely to be shredded when done unless you do opt for a trials tire.

Gents,

If any of you fly to Vegas, San Diego, or Los Angeles, I'll be passing through on my way, so I'll offer up a ride to/from and a (sorry) KTM 525. I'm looking foward to the ride...

Bigbob,

Force Ride 1 had perfect riding weather. Not too cold at night. Beautiful sunny days and excellent people to ride with. Hoping for more of the same this coming March.

They usually advise to come with used tires to Moab, because it is so darn rocky (often it's just bone raw rock) that tires ontheir way to slickness do a better job.

so old tires, heavy duty tubes, 14 psi and plenty of corona! sounds like a husaberg festival 4 sure. I'll bring the pencils!

hi,
i am really looking forward to this event.
i need it more than it want it, if you know what i mean.
sometimes life kicks your d*ck everywhichway but loose.
it things like this that help stabilize it all. some riding, some laughing,
some relaxing, and some bonding. ah yeah..........
now i have to get my bike, body, and truck ready.
its nice to have something to look forward too.
i hope we have lots of new people there, but i hope we
also see the same old faces [you know who you are] too.
thanks to the guys who are doing alot of the setup work
[dezduster, berger, etc] for lazy fools like me.
i think i'm bringing a keg instead of beer bottles.
see you all there.
tuts

i too would be happy to loan one of my bergs. i own a 2004 550 and 650. not sure which one i'll want to ride as i've yet to ride the 650. all this of course is pending that myself or the 650 dont get run over by a trophy truck in the baja 1000. rode moab the last 2 weekends. getting to know it better and better.

the only thing i feel/felt we needed for moab last time was somewhere warm in the evening to stand or sit and sup a beer? is there any chance that we could get a small open sided during the day/zip the sides up in the evening type 'tent' for this one?

sorry if i just gave someone a job but hey fellas - you know the serious drinking squad can't survive without it!

regards

Taffy

WTF Taf you didnt like my gehetto burner????????????/// Ill have that again and wood and if any one asked last time........................

I had a 10 x 10 ezup with sides!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I thought you Merry ole dudes were used to cold and damp

In Moab we had cool and dry

I'll bet the canucks can bring you a Hudsonbay trade blanket

taffy,
i agree. i can bring a 10x10 pop up tent. for heat we should get a propane heater, like the drywall crews use. i may be able to borrow one.

Tents and heaters???? You guys can sleep in the dirt all you want. I had enough of that in the Marines. Hotels for me baby...

TuTs,

"I hope we have lots of new people there, but i hope we

Im not quite sure where the Bros. Grimm fall......

Baja

no! no!

c-a-b-i-n-s!!!!! mmmmm! nice!!! warm!!!! infact they have these heaters that make your skin melt!!!! if you want to feel distant, forgotten, "out of the way" then fine!!!! (LOL!!!)

anyway the tent is for the beer. remember, the more you drink, the colder your core body temperature and we drink lots! the bench racing is far faster than the real thing so hang on to your hat!

they put you in the end cabin coz that was downwind! (LOL!!!)

Taffy
