UK Force ride 2013

numbers are now looking very healthy and we needn't worry about this being a flop so that is that one put to bed!

Ed have you got Steve coming back or have you got a second leader in mind?

Taffy

Steve is a maybe but there are a couple of others who could be up for it,
It would be great if Cypher or anyone else can jump in a get some forest time for the event.
Failing that it will be more boring trail riding with rocks, gates and stuff.

Went for a ride down that way yesterday checking out some ideas so all good at the moment.
May be a film to follow

Lol!!!

OK, we'll take the more boring rock strewn, nadgery infested, river laced stuff instead then! :D :D

regards

Taffy

Probably be there on the Sunday as long as missus isn't working or I can find sprog sitter

Forestry wise the Sunday would be the best day really as any other day your likely to come across ongoing forestry work.

If its ok to go in the Hafren can do a ride that takes in both Tarenig and Hafren otherwise it's just Tarenig, but that can be more than enough on the right trails

am afraid i'm not going to be able to make after all due to a domestic issue that weekend, i'm trying to see if i can get up there for the friday but will have to le you know

Hi Taffy
We sit and plan our trip to UK Force 2013 Rhayader
And is in the process of booking tickets for ferries
Would like to have confirmed that there have been no changes Affecting dates
We look forward to see all again!

Peter / Anders

Diary commitments mean that I can only ride on the Friday.

I'll probably haul up late on Thursday evening. Does that mad woman still run the Lion Royal Hotel?

Greg

No experience of staying there myself Greg but Mary is still providing a unique experience at the Lion.
Some love it some don't

Looking like I can possibly do Saturday and Sunday.

Just got to do some recon on the route is was thinking of taking into Tarenig if anyone wanted to do some woods riding.

And also check there aren't any other events such as car rallies or rambler gatherings going on

Once into either of the 2 forests I was thinking of I know where I'm going.

What group sizes are we thinking of as 30 bikes going through one route at the same time might cause a few issues

The last time I stayed there Mary waltzed into a mate's room when he'd just come out of the shower.

I might stay at the old workhouse place instead!

Greg

everything is on schedule and we're looking at something like 10-15 on the friday and 20 on the Saturday then 15 again on the Sunday.

two groups for sure on each day. Ed and Fraser to lead? sound alright boys? :D

Taffy

It sounds great!
We book ferry tickets so we arrive on Thursday evening
and go back on Sunday evening
so we expect rides all three days

Peter / Anders

Hello chaps,

Sorry for the quietness, bike has been under a blanket for 4 months with little sign of moving, however I can confirm that my mate Ben and I are still in (with no uncle in tow this time!)

Do we have a link to the campsite so I can get a slot booked?

Cheers,

Martin

am I right in guessing that the Campsite is:
Wyeside Caravan & Camping
just off the A470 Rhayader, Powys

I gather we don't need to book.

Also we have two more shy ones:
I'm coming out of the Netherlands
I ride A 2011 Husaberg 450 and a friend of mine is on a Yamaha TT600

Is it possible to ride the UK ride for us and is the ride 3 days; Friday, Saturday, and Sunday?

With friendly greetings!

Ap Duijzer
Netherlands

Ap have you ever riddden your Husaberg 'up' anything?

you know: a mound? a slope? a tiny hill maybe?

are you really ready for this?

you're both welcome!

regards

Taffy

Just a bit of advice for everyone.

Bring a plastic bottle you can fit a couple of litres of petrol in as garages are few and far between and it is quite possible to do 80 miles without going near a garage, Especially for the two rides I got planned.

I'm sure ed will have factored this in so for his rides it probably won't be an issue

We can stash them on the route and pick them up on the return journey.

I'm going to used a cleaned out squash bottle as you can crush it flat when you used the fuel.

Yes Ap is ready for this.

I have ridding a lot of places

Marokko, Tunisia, Spain, France, Roemenie, Pyreneen, and more, but England i have never ridding
not all with the Husaberg
my 450 is the first Husaberg and a very very nice bike.

If i can arrange everything my work, the ship and more we are comming

The bike is no problem 100% ready and reliable

Greets Ap
