do you or anyone know how many we were at moab 07 that would starting point but I imagine that there be a few more partisipants,
also keep in mind that there might be sierra club type activist reading our forum so
they can blow the whistle, if a interest count is taken it would be wise to do it as PM

I have been told that if when i do organized boss appreciation get togethers if
more than fifty are involved i must pull a permit! I would have no problem in doing
that on our force 3 should the numbers reach it & the group pick's this spot.
However i would let the forest service know ahead of time since i & others who use this
area alot do everything by the book & all involved are on the same page & guidelines!
They have spent lots on atv funds to make this system one of the top in the nation!!

I do not recall the exact number from the last force ride, I want to say 45+ guests. Ossaman would be the one who knows.

well gentleman 44 is close to the limit, this means a permit or limit riders to 49
what is the consensus lets make a roll call to find out where you all want have

Vote already ? I would appreciate a little lee way to get some info up about Colorado. I mean no sh!t here you think Moab is loaded with photo op's you haven't lived until you've been 12,000 ft high. Come on go buy that John Denver album you've always wanted. All Taffy will have to do is watch The Deer Hunter again and he'll be in.
OK guys China Hat has been hashed out and there seems to be a lot of interest in it, which is great. We should have at least two more options to choose from before we make a final decision.
I would like to see Colorado myself. So Stove, can you give us some locations, time of year, and logistic info?
We haven't heard from anybody that rides in Nevada, which is relatively central to the west coast, and would have to be a warmer climate in March, so how about it? If you ride there speak up!

I ride in Northern Nevada. Great riding but not too many trails. lots of washes and ridge tops with horse trail connectors. Over all mostly fast stuff with some tight stuff thrown in. a few trees but mostly open high desert. Very little in accommodations. some of the guys that have ridden with me before will attest that support is key. Maybe March April is a bit too early if we had a good winter.
It would be no problem for me to do a group ride of 20 or so in one location for two days and then move and do another few days around the black rock desert. More than 20 and we got no place to sleep and hard to carry fuel for more bikes than that. All my long trips require an over night stay so the chase support is very important and so is the fuel range of the bikes. THANK GOD FOR BOSS TANK

Also it is easy to miss the support stops if we split up into groups. Face it I am old so the fast guys will be bored and I have the Zilla speed that will leave the slower of the mere mortals panting.
Im up for almost anywhere but Moab again. I do think the time frame of early spring will limit us somewhat. I know if I think we have snow problems here then elevation in Colorado will be out of the question.

don't restrict yourself to just the spring bob? the trip is definately worth it from europe. that much a UHE member would surely believe by now. (two trips and three witnesses).
however stove (ron) came up with mid august and i needn't say much more on that. we need a holiday when the lads can get away, when money has been saved. if anyone here is involved they'll know wxactly when thee right times are.
march. april, may. october november. september is good if you don't have to buy a school uniform (that counts tuts out the kinky *****!). june, july, august is family holiday. november, december we save for christmas and january/feb we save to get over it (LOL!!!)
what i would say is that i'm confident that we would visit colorado and oregon over the next two force rides so nobody need panic.
i'm amazed that so few areas have motels/cabins/campsites. even here in east anglia, the arse of the UK, each village has as many as two campsites. that's life...
i don't think we have to make a decision yet but this thread was on time coz we can look out the windows now and say whether in 12 months an area would be a valid choice.
also, even though some will think this is getting nowhere! believe me, it isn't! we are moving forwards.

Bobzilla is right about that.
Colorado is unbelivable, but it will have to be at the earlyist end of July. Talking to Stoveguy the Silverton area seems to be a good spot to look at. Small town with two RV-Parks lots of camping and great trails, for all levels in many directions. Just one is the Alpine Loop, 65 mile loop of mostly easy roads with side trips for singletrack, and Lake City for your lunch stop. A pretty little place with resturants, bars and lots of Micro-brew. We had Buffalo burgers and only two Newcastle brown-ales, gas up and back on the loop. If we need a bigger city Durango has all we will ever need including Bike-shops if you forget something, but getting to the trail will be a bit more of a comute. Stveguy and I can provide camping,lodging,Brewsky info if this is where you want to go.

Just a consideration for some. Depending on where the ride is, it may be possible to fly in and rent,borrow or buy a bike. I only mention it because I have done all of the above. If you really want to go to one of these rides all it takes is some planning and forethought.
It has been the main theme to keep everything as low budget as possible. I'm sure it will be no different this time out.
