as it's now a given you'll need a fresh thread starting on the basis of "it's on at guynnison, now we have to book ourselves in (at UHE) and also into somewhere in gunnison etc. that'd going to be the long thread that lasts a year.....

I am headed up to Taylor park this weekend. I am picking up another dirt bike. Checking on the Campground that we are going to use for West Fest (www.advrider.com) and riding Monarch crest trail. And ofcourse riding Taylor Park. It's the peak of the color season. I have elk calling outside my office window. Fall is in the air. I am going riding.

To osubuckeye's post, the last 2 events took place on the left coast due to the lack of response or interest from anyone in the East. No one wanted to stand up and make the commitment for the events at any other location.

This time around, BOSS has offered to organize our event at China Hat in Oregon if we choose to go in that direction. That would include some help from other UHE members as well I'm sure.

What is being asked from the UHE members by Taffy, is for members to offer up real information on known riding/camping/eating/lodging areas. What time of the year would be best and the nearest major airport for those needing to fly in to attend.

I also know how much effort it takes to get this off the ground and it can't be done by just 1 person. A lot of people are dependent upon this information being accurate.

Colorado sounds like it could be a nice destination as well. The Arizona desert or even Idaho. I would like to ride someplace where we could end up at Ghost Town or something like that.

Any dual sport stuff for those with street legal bikes?

Cant seem to get the ride together with all the other sh*t that is what we call life. we may do a camp out/explore on the weekend of Vets day Nov 7-11 still trying to do a trip to Feilds from Fernely also.

Okay gentlemen it looks like the decision has been made to go to Gunnison, and Kzoo has taken the initiative to start the Gunnison thread.

I would respectfully request that we keep all future posts regarding planning and execution of FR3 in the new thread started by Kzoo and not post in this thread anymore.

Let the planning begin!!
