HA!! I could sell subframe tanks on the side :)
I still have my bike but Dale offered a refund to anyone who wanted it. I asked for a refund.
What I would prefer is a reply. They took my money, at least they can do is reply.

Hi Frank,

First of all, sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I was out of town for a few days.

I just went through my emails on the 70 degree site and the last one I have from you is dated October 22cnd at 0651hrs checking on the status of your order, and there was no refund request in that email.

Please send me a pm with your paypal address so that I may process your refund straight away.

Dale

Dale

I sent two emails requesting a refund. Not sure what your looking at. Must have got me mixed up with someone else or they got lost. I lose stuff all the time on the computer. Here's copys of the headers of when I sent them. I sent you a PM with my Paypal address. Thanks for the reply...

Hi Frank,

I just sent you your refund to your Paypal account.

If it doesn't come through correctly let me know.

I bet Dale had a few beers Christmas eve to drown his thoughts. What an utter, utter ***** for this to occur (in the words of Rick Mayall)

Dale

We have 6 customers waiting and should of been on the list.

I need to give these guys some updates.

Thanks,

Ben @ Just Gas Tanks

I'll be sending in a request for a refund I guess. This has to be one of the worst stories in dirtbike history. Sad to hear another setback. Thanks for still trying at this point.

G"day all i am new here but ordered and paid for my tank a while ago now.
I take my hat off to Dale and his persistance in getting these tanks out blow after blow.
this is the problem when you cant just do the job yourself without involving other people because as a general rule 9/10 people are usless yes thats right for every 3 switched on people there are another 27 idiots out there :)

This is my first post on this forum and I am finding this discussion very frustrating as well. I recently purchased a new 2012 FE570 and have been patiently awaiting the availability of these aux fuel tanks, so that I can place my order. But I am now wondering if I am ever going to get my hands on one . I am a long time Berg fan, having owned a '96 FE600E, '98FE600E, '05 FE650E and now a 2012 FE570. All of my earlier model Bergs had some type of auxiliary fuel tank fitted and I would like to do the same with my 570.

Yeah I hear ya, I bought a new 2012 FE 570 about six months ago & I think it's a fantastic bike but part of my decision to buy a berg was what I thought the existence or atleast availability of the auxiliary sub frame tank.
Oh well guess I will just have to carry a few liters on my back.
I do feel sorry for everyone involved in this disappointment thought.

I recently bought the previous generation subframe tank on ebay from a guy in Greece when I realized I probably wouldn't get a new one. I had one on backorder since the day I bought the bike a year ago. I was about to sell the damn bike and get the KTM 500 I wanted in the first place. Of course I love the 570 and hope to keep it for my 9 year old to grow into. But my Safari Tank is too big for racing, and the stock tank only got me 50 - 60 miles.

My Safari tank goes on and off the bike once or twice a year with an hour of easy work now that I understand it. That thing fit terrible but I documented my solutions on this forum. One guy said he likes the rear tank instead of the front tank from Safari. That was an interesting solution I almost tried myself. If it cost less I'd get that too, but their pricing is crazy.

I just bought a KTM 300. I might have bought the husaberg 300 but there is no larger gas tank my dealer could confirm would fit. I wasn't about to get lost in this deal again!

you will be very happy with the 300, my friend just put the acerbis tank on his 13 model says he doesnt notice it and it looks cool to .......... 8)

i realy want one of these tanks that Dale offers just because they sound like a superior product but iam only needing it to enter the condo 750 rally at easter for my 570, only thing that could make this bike better is a few more blue anodized things and a rear sub tank, still riding mine stock and lovining every minute

anyway Dale Bump on the update can the new new molder do the tanks :?

I will sell my new generation 70 degree tank for $2000. Who would like to bid?

Just kidding ya

I've got the chance to get a first generation one (Beta version!). You've got the 2nd generation one. (Limited Edition!) I am hoping there is going to be a 3rd generation one.

Can anyone tell me should I get the 1st gen one, or wait for a 3rd gen one.

And we need a name for the 3rd generation one.

Ideas: A Unicorn..(imaginary creature).. G-Spot. (no-one can find one). Eldorado. (legendary gold)... Karma Sutra (never comes). Cold beer (worth waiting for). Collins Submarine (Only Aussies would get this one).

:bounce3:

We should call it erz-berg lol!
every one really wants one or to be around one if only once, everyone talks about it as the best thing for dirt bikes, everyone knows about it but doubts somewhere in the back of there mind they will ever get to experiance it

thought i was so clever writing this ............. 8)

Hi Nik,

Thanks for the kind words!

Talked with the new molder yesterday and will be meeting him in the next week or so. The mold is supposed to be on its way to the new place. He seemed anxious to get it up on the arm and start making some parts to see how things were going to work out.

I will keep you all posted as I get news.

Any update Dale? Itching to get my hands on one of these.

Tested tanks last weekend.............

Going to pick up bushings and washers for redesigned tail section/fender mounts on Friday.

Hope to get tanks boxed and ready to ship over the weekend!

Dropped off mold at the newest molder on Monday. They were anxious to try making parts. Will have to wait to hear from them.
