[quote="E-TicketBoy, DI-2T was all we talked about for while, eh? The chatter on that puppy has really died off.
Sounds like it's possible - but just too spendy/chancy to build at this time. Not to mention that it might significantly impact or crater their 4T bikes.[/quote]

And that would be a good thing.

Those are so clearly PS'd. And crappy ones as well.
EDIT: maybe I should clarify that the Facepalm wasn't aimed at passatore but the ones that made the crappy PS pics

c'mon, next thing you'll be claiming this pic from the 2013 berg pics thread is photoshopped too. :D

No, that one looks good. I espacially like the new Husaberg-over-KTM-font. Heard rumors from Kiska that something like that was in the making but I didn't belevie it until I saw that pic.

Interesting....
Here are a few notes taken from the US 2013 KTM Dealer show. # 7 is the interesting part. (notes are borrowed, not mine)

1. No Freeride 350 for the US market, at least this year.

2. They "new" WP fork with rebound in one leg and compression in the other is only on the European Six Days models at this point, not coming to the US this year.

3. The 50's get a new "disc" style clutch which is way, way, better and will retrofit back to the '09 bikes.

4. The new 85 is really, really cool! All new machine and make the KX look completely obsolete!

5. The new XC-F 250/350/450 are without a doubt the best off-road race bikes I have ever ridden! New chassis, new 250 and 450 motor, completely revamped 350 motor...all for the better, incredible machines! Bad news is they will be sold out quickly.

6. The 250 and 300 smokers get the diaphragm spring clutch and the XC's get the new chassis and body. The "W" 2 smokers will now come standard with lights.

7. Absolutely no word on Husaberg...it was like it did not exist and when the question was brought up the subject was quickly changed.

8. We received a $1000 rebate on 2012 250/350/450 SXF models, 250/350 XCF models, and 250 XC/XCW models.

Thanks berger ! Well at least the 50 clutch is good news for my boy. Only 50 odd 2012 bergs left in Australia apparently, tossing up wether to trade up and go the 610 again or buy another in a crate and sit on it for a bit. Wonder how long before fe specific spares dry up ? :( not happy ktm.

many north italian dealers confirm the presentation of M.Y. 2013 on the first week of september.
All models will be substantially a blue version of 6 days KTM. No more 70 degrees engine and no more 390 - 400 cc. Only 350, 450 and 500 cc. The end of a brand?
:(

I have been advised directly by the factory that the official release of the 2013 Husaberg range will be mid August with the first bikes landing in Australia by start of October 2012.

We will have one of the pre-release 2013 big bore FE bikes here in Australia by mid-August in time to prepare for Damien Grabham to race it in the 2012 Australasian Safari rally at the end of September.

No dealer or team (us included) will release details until the official factory announcement in August.

I can tell you though the new 2013 Bergs WILL be better & faster bikes and not by a small margin, but a big one, about the same degree of jump up as from the pre-2009 bikes to the 2009-2012 bikes, and at the end of the day thats what counts

cant wait

The minute the factory release occurs we will post detailed photo's etc of Damien's 2013 bike and the rally mods etc we are making to it.

Who knows till the bike is actually on the dealer floor or KTM officially makes the announcement, but interesting to say the least... Still like my FE390, unlike any trail bike I have owned, and if it does become just a blue KTM to cut costs, that just means that the current one still has all the goodies on it from really good R & D

I've heard over the past few Months that 'sweden' have been very late getting their hands on a KTM to play with and that there is only one bike? I can't believe that's true because the factory team riders need one or two bikes and the production design team would need one or two.

word is that they have gone to the plastic sub-frame again but this time it has melted as it was too close to the exhaust.....

Crap! Maybe for salesmen or factory racing kids, but not for 90% of us. All the buyers & owners i've spoken to want something 'different' and 'special' plus the reported better reliability, and the suspension. We do NOT want KTM's entry level model.

bravely put I think and pretty much true as well. The two lads i ride with both prefer the husabergs 'long-legged-ness' over the peaky KTM.

it always takes another 50cc from a Husaberg to match a KTM but that brings a softer power.

but the fact is that Husaberg are going to have to tow the line now more than ever. If they change the bikes a lot it'll only be because KTM want to learn something or it is deemed more profitable. But I don't think there will be changes that Husaberg 'like' so much anymore.

Time for the engineers to jump ship again!
If I was an engineer and all I was allowed to design was the colour scheme, I think I might berger off. :(

Hopefully they've had a bit more input than that, but it's hard to know what to believe until we see the end results. I'm still hoping for "different", "special", more reliable, etc. Oh, and released some time this year.

Well I can dream can't I?

I've yet to have this commented on but if I was KTM top management: how would you take the fact that the Factory Racing Squad, made up of Swedes in Sweden all decided to ride a 2T, even most import teams went straight to the 2T?

a landmark engine mounted in a special way that SHOWED promise should have been backed by the R & D machine - the race team - and to me that shows a complete lack of support for the design.

JL has done no better on the 2T.

That's right.... It's very saddening to see the heart and soul has been taken away, I've only had bergs for a few years but I love my long legged Swedish girls. Why is the dollar more important than all else? What ever happened to heart soul depth and conviction, the brand was started by some gutsy fellas who had a vision and were purists and their passion shone through in the machines they made and raced! Now it's finished, yay the blue KTM may be a great fast machine but they will lack that one thing that has made Husaberg such a special brand to me. I'm sorry guys but I'm pissed of at the ******** that is going on these days and it hurts me to see such and icon go out in such a miserable way. I don't want another brand I want my berg.
