Its the same frame as ktm ? or still got some berg on it ?
More details please 8O

Pics and specs are now shown at the official Husaberg-site.
Plastic subframe looks impressive, front fender and other plastics look different than on a KTM.
But the engine is so standard again ........... :(

I was really hoping the rumors of a 501 being the biggest capacity weren't true. Definetly doesn't have the same appeal as the 2012 570 did for me.

Can't see much detail from the pictures, but with the kick start removed and a plastic subframe the weights still seem to be identical to the KTMs. Fuel tank capacity is listed as half a litre more which made me wonder if the tank is different, but it does say "approx" so maybe it's the same one. Hopefully it is as the larger tanks that are already on the market for the KTMs might then fit without having to design something new.

Had no luck downloading the specifications PDF as the link seems to be screwed.

However, the weight loss impresses me quite a lot
I really love the looks of my 570-2010, but always found the backside of the bike to be pretty heavy..........
I did manage to download the specs, but those were still 2012-specs.

Yes it looks like they're lighter than the current bergs by enough to be really noticeable, but I'd also seen it said that they'd even be a bit lighter than the equivalent KTMs which doesn't appear to be right even though the kick start has been removed. Maybe the plastic sub-frame is heavier than the KTM sub-frame.

I get a "forbidden" error on the download when using the Great Britain version of the site - are you using a different country setting?

No problems here with the UK-version.
The 2012-specs I mentioned was the PDF I downloaded, the 2013 specs are shown on the site itself.

I can see the specs on the web pages, but there's also a link to a PDF download on the "Specifications" page - that's what brings up the "Forbidden" error when I try it.

Damn - from the video it looks like they're way too light at the front end. They just can't seem to keep that wheel down.

Still, at least the front tyre should last a really long time...

comparing the 570 with 501 specs, looks like the 501 has a 15mm lower seat (good for short legged blokes like me) but its also lost 45mm of ground clearance to the 570!! I guess that must be due to the conventional engine layout.

Is it my imagination, or is the frame slightly less yellow than it used to be?

here is a couple of interesting images - old and new frame superimposed. I used orange for the 501 frame and blue for the 570  (sorry Im just bored at work) You can almost make out the shorter wheelbase for the 570
