Thanks alot Mr Husaberg, too now find out that the bike (FE570) will be no more after this year is sh*t, Being only my second new bike in 23years I loved the thought of having the lastest and greatest bike out there, which it is at the moment, but come the end of the year it will be history, then what!!, what happens to the re sale price?? gone thats what.
I would have appreciated Husaberg to at least stand up and tell us exactly what is happening so we could make a choice with the correct information, For years here in Australia, Husaberg have end of year fire sales cutting huge dollars off and adding extras to try to get rid of surplus stock, piss poor stock control, hense this drives down re sale values and in turn the reputation of the brand.
Husaberg/KTM stand up and grow some balls,

I spoke to a Husaberg / Ktm dealer according to from the manufacturers the 70degree motors are going end of. The new motors will be based on the newish 500cc ktm motor

Noone said they arent making them anymore stop jumping to conclusions

That is my point, Australia's biggest selling dealer talked to me about this, KTM/Husaberg should stand up and comfirm if this talk is correct or not, everyone know's model runs come to an end sometime, just confirm it please and stop all the talk

But that's part of the dilema.
When a manufacturer announces something like that ... sale will go right through the floor.
Which makes their position even harder. And then there's the issue of maybe they get more capital from investors at the 11th hour and decide to keep going forward. Kind of hard to do that if you've announced that you're pulling the plug.

At this point, they're in a no-win spot of announcing or staying mum.
Which makes us the tail at the end of the dog. Will he wag? Or will he take a dump?

Man thats the buggest load of bs ive read in a while, the slant 570 ***** on the ktm 500 period

i'm a dealer and I have not been told no 70 degree engines.
You just haven't asked! Well, it might be a different story in the US having to hear it from Ohio instead of Austria directly...
But definitely no 70deg engine!

I am happy that I have the 570 for dual sport. If the article is true it appears that they may not go past a 550. From reading other post, alot of riders were looking for a 600 plus choice to ride. I would love a sub 300lb 650-750. It's time for a lightweight 650.

Ride them both back to back over the same section of single track and see if you still feel the same

Lelles is one of the biggest bike dealers in Sweden with a big store in Uppsala some 70km north of Stockholm. They have a really good webstore and on this webstore we have found interesting stuff...

I did a more extensive search and found these "spare parts" for 2013.

ENGINE HUSABERG FE 501USA 2013
ENGINE HUSABERG FE 501 2013
ENGINE HUSABERG FE 450 2013
ENGINE HUSABERG FE 350USA 2013
ENGINE HUSABERG FE 350 2013
ENGINE HUSABERG FE 250 13
ENGINE HUSABERG TE 300USA 2013
ENGINE HUSABERG TE 300 2013
ENGINE HUSABERG TE250 USA 2013
ENGINE HUSABERG TE 250 2013

Which seems to confirm that this is the end of the 70-degree engine

No 125 but I guess that it will stay in the line up.

Seems like the 'Bergs of the future will be just blue versions of the KTM six-days...

Discontinuation will probably raise the resale value, but I will be keeping mine for myself. I am just happy that I got hold of a new one. I haven't had a more nimble bike.

well after owning my 09 berg since 09 it would have to be the best bike ive riden by far, I was looking to update in 2013 to a 390 mainly because i ride tight single trail most of the time, my 450 is a great bike in the tight stuff so i thought the 390 would be even easier to throw around,, but on hearing that the 70degree is no more it nearly makes me want to rush out and buy a 2012 just so i get the last good berg, but i cant afford to do that this yr so its looks like ill miss out on the last good Berg. I cant beleive that ktm would leave behind a WINNER.
Now add this to speculation, i heard from a good sorse that the 70 degree engine may end up in the Italian made Beta , can anyone from the powers to be confirm this.

PS ; I wont be buying a blue KTM , I bought the berg because it was different and was better then the rest now it looks like KTM are putting the Berg in the back seat to make the KTM the head bike... Ide say when buying my next bike ill be looking at the 300 Gas Gas .
