Why buy a 2-3 year old blue KTM where for the same money you can get a 2-3 year newer orange Husaberg?
LOL! Quote of the day!

Is the gas tank half full? Or half empty?

All have come to realize Husaberg dominance and superiority. KTM has finally come to the conclusion that there bikes should be the test beds for Husaberg. All new cutting edge technology will be used and developed on KTM's first. After all the bugs are worked out and refined by the orange lemmings the tech will be handed to to Husaberg.
Finally the respect Husaberg deserves......... Who wants to sign up to be a test pilot/test subject/victim for one of these orange hand grenades on wheels?? I feel much safer on a new Husaberg already :D

Any new info on 2013's?
All I heard was from 1 to 10... Change to 2T's is 4 and change to 4T's is 8!!!!! 8 should be big! Cause we all know they are keeping all their components...

Am I the only one that didn't understand the last 2 posts? :?

All I heard, was there was a herd of 1 to 10 slow cornering Swedish moose. When engines were revved, 2Turds were dropped by the frightened moose which later changed to 4T's. Those 4T's were changed to 8!!!!! 8 should be a BIG pile! We all know by the way the farmer pulled in the clutch and revved the engine, he will be keeping all their compost..
BTW, 8T's Ossa lotta GasGas.

Really not that hard to understand. :basicemoticon:

I also just purchased a brand new 2012 fe570 and was also told by my dealer that the 70 degree engine is gone and that the 2013 bergs will be pretty much a 2012 ktm in blue. As ktm are the owners and want there bike to be seen as the best so there stripping the berg of all it goodness! But once again that's what my dealer told me which doesn't make it true but he said his seen the pictures and the spec straight from his supplier

pull clutch rev engine, bang it down three gears and dump clutch to slow down.

2 strokes will have a 4 hundred big block kit, 4 strokes will have an 8 hundred big block kit.
Go big or go home!

Come on! 4 out of 10 change in 2T's and 8 out of 10 change for 4T's! Austrians don't make much sense man! Try to read between the lines...
Also, Husaberg will have their own new chassis for 2013, not the KTM one! And it will remain the premium line; better components, better handling, and a fresh look (not KTM look)... And yes, you guys are correct, no 70d engines, that is about the only thing your dealers really know.

had the same conformation from the dutch Husaberg enduro 2011 champion team. I bought the last 2011 to use for my dakar next year.(dont like the yellow frame) and the 2012 is the last one, 2013 will basically be blue Ktm's... No news sofar.

The roumor that made it news ( and this is to be confirmed) is that the 2014 KTM will have a... 70 degree racing engine. Why? well it makes sense if you see the number of Husabergs in Dutch enduro's. More every year, and winning the prizes. if this is happening everywhere, KTM is not selling enough bikes.

My dealer also commented that KTM/Husaberg was not fixed on the 70 degree motor staying in the lineup. Alot of rumors but not many facts out there yet. I would like to think that if KTM cancelled the 70 degree motor it would be for valid reasons not to have a 70 degree motor.

Are the advantages of the 70 degree motor better than the traditional KTM motor? If the motor is better why wouldn't they make it the primary production motor for both lines? I have heard alot of riding comments that the weight of the Husaberb sits higher up which translates into the feeling of a heavier bike when moving slow but is offset by the 70 degree motor when sailing down the road. What do the pros think?

I just recently purchased my 2011 FE570 and my first impression was that it felt heavy for a 250lb bike. Part of that might have been the feeling of the powerful motor. As I ride the bike more, it is becoming lighter for me.

Why cancel the 70 degrees?

Im pretty sure the Husaberg nerds would never let the 70 degree berg be sidelined.

Being in the engineering field myself I can sadly say more often then not accountants trump nerds.

From what I understand KTM invested a ton of money into there new die-cast engine plant . All of there motors from here on out will be die-cast. The 70 degree motor is sand cast. Why they wont continue making sand cast motors is beyond me. The next question is why cant they die-cast the 70 degree motor.

Hi. I'm beginning to think that the rumor will be true. It's a pity.

I bet it felt heavy, since it is a 270+ pound motorcycle. Seriously.

KTM's new four stroke platform is much lighter and already a better performing overall motorcycle than the Husaberg. For all the benefits it has, the Husaberg has as many disadvantages. The writing was on the wall last year when they pulled the four strokes out from under all the National Enduro factory Husaberg riders and put them on two strokes.

To add insult to injury, they had to nearly give them away after the new wore off. There are still new non current FX's out there for sale. The deal I got on mine is why I bought it. I have been a Husaberg lover for a long time, and still am, but unfortunately the truth hurts.

The only hope that I see for Husaberg on the four stroke side is that they start using KTM's platform and they keep them different enough that Husaberg will be more than a blue KTM. Sad end to say the least.
