thx no pictures from the right hand side because the engine case is off  (will get new gaskets by the end of the week).
Than I can fill the coolant/oil connect battery/start the bike
I hope my battery will have enough power to start it has been standing still for a long time now (+-2months) otherwise use jumper cables to my other bike

I will make a video from the startup with the new fmf header that will probably turn blue after a while 8)

Hello I've readed more or less all the post and I'm planing to buy a fs 570 machine and I you like to change the exhaust and some other parts. Maybe you could help me.

First of all I not sure if buy this bike or a 690 smc, I will use weekends and I will go to the circuit 3/4 year. I want something that push hard now I have a 990 superduke and exc 300. I test the bike last weekend and I liked a lot but as I said you I need to change some things.
Could you recomend me the bike, how is the machine is fiable.

For the complet exchaust is better to buy complete fmf or fmf with akra or doma, I think doma can't be fixet with the intermittents. if I buy the fmf mega bomb, the diferences from titanium vs regular is just the weight?.
Also I readed that is necesary to change the air filter for dna filter but also change the seat. If I change the seat I would like to buy one whit key, I use some time in the city, any suggest?

After that in the future I think I'll change Suter slipper clutch.

The megabomb for the 570 only comes in titanium according to fmf you gain power across the complete rev range and it make's the noise down 1-2db (didn't notice that  )
If you want a complete system I think doma is also a very good option slightly less money than complete fmf setup I think :?: akarapovic to expensive imo

Have you ever ridden a 690 smc :?: I did and they are completely different than fs570 the berg feels so much more flickable at low speeds and the power feels way more fun but on higher speeds the 690 is a realy good bike !
They are pretty damn fast with some minor changes the 690ktm's.

+ the 690 has bigger range with more fuel and is much cheaper in maintnance.
But even keeping that in mind I wouldn't trade my 570 for a 690
The 570 is also very reliable and more fun imo

I got a different ecu/mapping from Peter (fp engineering)
And the bike runs VERY good so happy with it now
I will try to get the bike to the dyno this month :D

Yes I shouldn't have marked the line's
The dyno guy said the engine work by fp engineering was a very good result/job.
But the fueling is slightly to poor how can I help this without custom mapping the dyno run was done with fmf 4.1 without noise inserts maybe put noise insert ring in or db killer with spark arrestor maybe stock exhaust???

Makes sense to me - I've still only got a DR-Z (want a Husaberg badly!) - but DR-Zs all need rejetting so I've had to study that a little. Putting inserts in aftermarket pipes also requires smaller jets, and you end up with a jet config similar to what the stock DR-Z exhaust needs. It's worth a try IMO - but I'm no expert!

put the stock plastic back because the black ones have cut shrouds and the weather is to unpredictable/do'nt want water in my air intake when riding it from/to work
(I will put the black plastic back on for trackday in 2 weeks :D )
BTW, which dash is that you have mounted? The TrailTech?

Nice job, 63whp.

Thats still with stock throttle body and cam I presume? Sounds fkn powerful in the video.

I make 69whp @ 9200rpm and 62.3Nm trq @ 7000rpm. You have more torque below 5000rpm than I, but then I'll start building power like crazy. If those results are with stock cam then maybe I need to test it with that, once I get the new and working GET ECU.

What mods Peter did on your stock ECU? Get a User Setting Tool and fix that AFR curve. I still don't get it how you made more torque but less hp on that red line, but more hp and less torque on blue line??? Obviously it wanted to be leaner below 6000rpm but richer above 6000rpm....

Yes it's a trailtech vapor dash

Everything is stock on my engine except for:
ported (stage 2) head by peter forster

The ecu is also stock but with 450 mapping I also got another ecu wit 450 mapping for big TB

I thought with bigger tb it would also have more power at midrange 5-6000rpm? if the only real big gains are only in the high 8000+rpm I think I would pass on big tb...

I also think with big tb you almost have to use another ecu to get proper a/f mix do'nt know if there is much room for improvement (dyno/custom mapping) on my bike with the stock ecu...

On the video I installed db killer in the exhasut and closed rad shrouds... (my black plstic has got cut ones for more air).

Did peter also sell new stock/worked pistons maybe that will be my last mod next winter and then get the a/f ajusted on dyno for best possible fueling with stock ecu

Get the damn TB! It's the key for everything! It won't rob power from low rpms if you have compression to back it up.

Stock TB and stock cam and 63whp. Peter really knows how port heads also. Whats the difference in the ECU with 450 map? is ignition timing different? I'm really desperate know as I'm sure I have more to be gained, but the damn stock ECU is lacking now...

Waiting and waiting...

Anyone have dirt setup for sale? I wanna put this thing on ice in the winter!

And how do you get more compression h/c piston :?: or other options...
I would like to stick to the stock piston because it's the lightest there is (least wear on crank bearings) and very good reliabilty/long life 200 hours no problem 8) I guess with a fresh piston I might gain another hp or 2

All I know about the 450 map from peter is more revs and the bike responds more agressive

Interesting.

More comp = shave head = less cc = not the best idea

More comp = Piston with different dome height and shape = less cc = good idea if piston design is chosen right

More comp = Shave cylinder base = piston sits higher at TDC = less quench and cc = very good idea and cheapest

I don't know how much the piston ceramic coating helped on my motor, but at least I can be sure it did not make it worse! The CP piston I used is a flat top piston with very tight quench area compared to stock piston. Should have measured quench area, but I guess it's approx 1mm or so at the moment.

I only understand half the things you are saying
Next week 1st trackday
I have noticed my front brake was fading last ride 8O
Just on the road...
I can now pull the brake lever back further than before pads are ok... fluid is almost new I will check the system for air and hope it will be ok on track
Maybe buy a new caliper next winter instead of engine mods

some good news some bad news.
I had 2 trackdays recently with the 570 the bike runs great 8)
Had some chattering trouble with front tyre on long right corrner improved with setting front suspension softer/adjusting riding style from foot out to kneedown.
here is a video of last trackday me stalking a fast ktm smc690 (to bad no camera pointing to the front)

here some footage onboard my buddy's zx6r :)

and the "crash" in the afternoon result broken shoulder and needed hand surgery :|
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npnhgLdjZls

I am home for 4 months now because of this stupid accident

:( :( ... what happened? Watched the video and couldn't really see what exactly happened ... hit a slippery patch or something?

I was learning to slide hard in the brakes 4-2th gear but the bike went very sideways very fast and that scared me so I let off the brakes...
result bike jumped back into a straight line the bars bounced from left to right and I wanted to turn in again but whent flying over the bike instead
