Can you post some pic like mine :) thanks HusaBELGfs570
Appreciated:cool::cool::cool:

My measurments are not strictly correct as I have not allowed for the
cylinder head dowel which measures 12mm OD therefore the 98 mm dimentsion
should be 99mm.

I did a search for the 570 head gasket and found one flat on so I enlarged it
to 100mm bore size, sellotaped a 628 gasket to my computer screen and...

not an exact match:cry: by any means.

Thanks gentlemen.

Lol
Today I whent to a dealer who had a husqvarna 511 supermoto and a husaberg fs650e from 2007 for sale
My friend is interested to buy a supermoto.
He did a testride on the 511 first and came back shaking his head....
Than the berg he was over the moon about the thing :p
But the odo/hours seemed to have weird numbers 420 something hours on the clock and over 65k's on the odo....
The bike sounded great though...
The berg was loads cheaper but looks a litlle used the 511 looked like brand new and was his n1 choice before riding them but after he wants a berg 650 for sure...

Would it be possible the bike has 1400+ hours and the km's would be correct that seems serieous but for 2900€I do'nt think the bike is a bad deal runs great look a little rough...

I think i will just use the stock piston back in it with new rings installed the piston/cilinder clearance was 0.08mm wear limit is 0.12 so I guess it can be used for 1-2 more years and than I will do small topend rebuild:cool:

Ps my mate bought the berg 650 yesterday it will be a fun season starting in a couple of months:cool:
Now it's freezing here and the roads are covered with salt:banghead:
I hope the 650 will be a good bike for him with 65k's on the odo...
But it was a good price lot of bike for the money and it's on of the latest fs650e

Wel it's not that cold (yet):D
It rarely happens that it freezes long/hard enough here so they can skate on lakes but I am a wuss I want it to be at least 10° to go out riding my bike:happy:
And it takes a while for the salt to go away 2 years ago it was still snowing at the end of march
If everything goes to plan the bike will be ready by march first have to wait and see how long it takes for the rod to get here...

I will have to buy valve shims because I have the inlet valves at max spec 0.15 and the exhaust ones have to much clearance 0.19 and 0.20 (max is 0.17) .
What is best replacing each shim for OEM or buying something like this
Valve Shim Kits for KTM, Husaberg, Husqvarna by Hotcams | Slavens Racing

I would go for about 0.15 for the exhaust and 0.12 for inlet valves
I noticed taking them out 3/4 shims where stock one whas slightly different with markings on it probably what my dealer uses....

OEM shims are in too big steps imo. I ended up buying mine from a swedish online store (24MX - Sveriges största crossbutik online!) which has more choices in shim sizes.
I have also confirmed that Harley Davidson V-rod models use the same shims as Husaberg and they have all the size options you might need. Should be quite easy to find too.

An enduro mechanic told me, if I had the choice, to have the inlets as tight as possible and the outlets as loose. So my inlets are ~0.10 and my outlets are ~0.16.

Thx for the info I could use the 2 exhaust valve shims to get the correct clearance for the inlet valves:cool:
(0.15-0.13mm) Now I need 2 thicker shims for the exhaust I think I start of with 0.13 inlet 0.16 exhaust once the valves are setlled after breaking in again maybe get smaller clearance on inlets.
I will ask my harley dealer for some bigger shims soon only 1 mile away from here there is a harley dealership:D

I got some bad € news lately the rebuild might get delayed I will have to look where I stand in 2 months if I can afford to rebuild....
I have 3 bikes might sell one if things get realy bad:rolleyes:
I have a gixxer race bike to that gave up on me in august that stilll needs fixing (been standing in a corner since than I tryed to find what's wrong myself but I am out of options will have to take it to a dealer:mad: )

My van was totalled a couple of months ago because some drunk ***** hit it at high speed while it was parked by the side of the road:rolleyes:
So I had to get a new car and since I bought that piece of **** I have one mechanical problem after the other so last months I am losing money all the time

Well the "good" news is I already payed for the most expensive parts...
(piston that I do'nt need:rolleyes: ) carillo rod manual cct just some bearings/gaskets left and maybe some other small stuff...
The berg will stay the only thing is that it may take some extra months to finish it....

I have 2 gsxr-1000k5 one I ride on the road only and it's in good condition no problems with it so far only the seals have gone bad in the forks but replaced them+new oil stuff I think if I put it for sale I would get a decent amount of money for it....
But I would miss it
I would prefer to sell the trackbike but It has no paperwork for the road and I have way more money in it than I could sell it for... so keeping it is also most interesting altough I do'nt think I am gonna do a lot of trackdays next year:unsure:
So if I keep em all put 2 bikes aside because I have no money to fix/ride them and just ride my street gixxer till I get out of this endless spending money/goin backwards...
Or sell my street gixxer than I have funds to rebuild berg/fix trackbike/do trackdays next year but than I do'nt have a roadbike anymore for long distance:unsure:

If I had known that the van would have so many problems I wouldn't bought it so far in only 10 000km....
driveshaft replaced
disc brakes need replacing not worn but when I brake my entire van shakes a lot (they are only 30 000km old!!!)
turbo problems
And ther still is something not right about transmission to I can feel some small vibrations sometimes accelerating:rolleyes:

This goes into 1000's €
And also didn't get a dime from the insurance company yet so all the costs+price of the van are payed by me so far :furious:

To end on a positive note here a video of my trackbike when it was still working:p

Ha ha corvette be gone.

I grabbed a hot cams shim kit when I did mine, the shims come in 0.05 increments. It would appear that the base circke of my cam had been ground as I had to increase the shim thicknesses.

I know how you feel, my bike was on the stand for 9 months.
