actually not really.
dezduster attended my parole hearing and ruined any chance i had.
i dont understand his angry, as evidenced by this post of his....he used the 'scab' line and i think that did me in.
can anyone explain dezdusters coarse nature???? maybe satan himself has the answers...

tuts,
Your dyslexic destruction of the spelling of my name may be symptomatic of even deeper problems than are indicated by your choice of avatar. Likely schizophrenic. You are a scab on the soul of humanity..!!!!
Dez

something is wrong here.
the last ride was, according to the post, Force Ride 3, Gunnison, Colorado September 17th - 20th 2009
take 2009 then add 2 years to it and you get 2011. dont you?

so berger, are you smelling too much race fuel?
or
are you yanks as stupid as taffy says?

im ready.

Yes.....it's all the crack I've been smoking. My how time fly's when your having fun :D
I have been back to Gunnison once since then and lost track. Maybe it IS time to start nailing things down.

After reviewing this thread, I don't see any other suggestions other than CO.. Are we good with that?? If so I guess i can put up a survey for dates. It will likely have to be between the last 2 weeks in august to the first 2 weeks in September. as I recall lodging seemed to be easier to acquire in the second week of September.

Well, alrighty then! Oh yah, .... "and so say us all."

There. Now it's official. (grin)

you should be meeting in 2 months this weekend as I said recently. the FR3 was delayed, note DELAYED! - from March to September and so the next FR needed to be 1.5 years from that date and that is.....this March if in Moab again or I guess this September back in Colorado as Tuts says.

your chief organisers got taken off the Job in 'dezduster', 'Bobzilla' and 'Ossaman' or Dez, Bob and Mike. perhaps I'm being a little unfair, after all Dez would have fallen over if Tuts hadn't shoved him!

Get back to Moab or nearby, get some heat, get the numbers up.

regards

Taffy

OK, will someone fill this newbie on the Force Ride? Is is not just a get together of Husaberg riders from across the country? Is this somehow sponsered by Husaberg or something? Why the 1.5 year time schedule?

The Force Rides should actually be called UHE Force Rides. they are a chance for members of the site to put faces with the names. A chance to ride and rub elbows with other Husaberg enthusiasts, as well as consume mas quantities of Bobzilla's chilli.
Riders come from all across the U.S., Canada, U.K. and the last ride Austria.
The rides because of logistic's were planned every 2 years.
The first rides F1 and F2 were held in Moab, Utah in March, a perfect time to ride there.
F3 was held in Gunnison/Crested Butte CO.. September, again due to weather and lodging concerns. Hence the 6 month difference.
F3 was the first time for Husaberg N.A. to come on board a UHE Force Ride. They kicked in some coin for the t-shirts and brought some cool swag for the raffle. They also brought 7-8 demo bikes for 3 days and a support staff to keep them all running smoothly. So you might say F3 was loosely sponsored by Husaberg N.A..
We had 2 rides in between F1 and F2. One in Phoenix and one in West Virginia.

I highly recommend schwim's ride reports on F1, F2, Phoenix and West Virginia. They are very good reads. You should be able to find them in the Ride Report forum.
There are pictures in the gallery of all the events under meet and greets.

Greetings,

I agree with Berger's post above, and we just need to nail down a time frame. As you may or may not know it's a La Nina year, this will have some effect on the weather for the Gunnison area. I saw a news item the other day from the weather channels' main long term guy and will have to dig it up to see what they "think" the weather will be more or less like this year. Last year was little damp at times, but, there was also lots of sunshine too in the middle of September. I was one of the last to leave, and when I did the temps had dropped dramatically, prompting the locals to encourage me to leave later in the day than I had planned, and even then it was 31 and snowing. Either way, the riding was awesome, and I didn't hear any complaints about doing a little riding in the rain.

As you all know Clay is no longer with Husaberg N/A, but, I do have a contact for the guy who took his place so it is not known whether or not HBG N/A will participate as they did last year or not.

I just got off the phone with Fritz, and his is all in for FR 4 out of his shop. He has bigger plans so to speak for this next ride, and he suggested that if anyone would like more information on his idea's to call his shop. He was a bit busy when I called, however, I will call back when he and I can talk and will post his idea's. I know from talking with Fritz last time and over the last year that we barely scratched the surface of available trails in that area.

I still have my list of contacts for the companies who contributed graciously to last years raffle, and when I get time will send them the same invite to send us free stuff to give away for nothing more than a small logo on a T shirt and an ad here at the site.

My two cents............ I thought the Tall Texan provided us with a great venue for our raffle and a place to eat Bobzilla's great chili. I plan on staying there again with my RV, and I know several folks stayed in their cabins who just trucked their stuff out, like Kzoo and his buddy from Michigan.

Last year Berger set up the accommodations for those wanting to stay in a room both at the TT and I believe a place called Three Rivers(?) which was just down the road, Cypher and Maddtrapper stayed down there along with Berger and his buddy.

The main theme here is to get our dates set, and get the reservations set up in advance just as last year. The advantage to going a little later, is that most folks have ended their holiday season as all the kids are back in school.

As Berger mentioned in his last post, the main reason for these rides is to get together with everyone who is on the site and do some great riding and bench racing with all the UHE members.

FWIW, I have a new job with the same company I have been working for, for many years now. This new job so far has been quite a challenge, so this ride will probably be my first riding vacation in two years, so I'm really looking forward to meeting up with everyone from last time again and doing some epic rides!

The wife ("Flying Ant") and I are planning a sportbike ride/tour this summer from Portland, OR out to Devil's Tower and Mt. Rushmore with a loop down through Colorado to do Rocky Mt. Park, Mt. Evans, and many other curvy/twisty/tall roads.

We were planning on the mid-August through mid-September time frame. But will try to push that earlier if we can get some dates set for the Force 4 ride.

Oh yah ... (grin)

Ohhhhh can LadyBerg's come? I'd vote for Sept or late Aug. I'll have to work on the hubby (he doesn't ride) to go with so a non camping place to stay would be great. Will there be any gals ridin?

All UHE members welcome. There are usually one or two gal's that show up. It is a sure bet that the number of guy's that ride like girls will be larger than the girl's that ride like guy's

i just lost a long detailed reply by hitting the back button on error. i f-n hate that.
bottom line...we need to be at one place like
http://www.gunnisonkoa.com/

the tall texan had lights out at something ridiculous like 9pm and the staff was poor quality and they seemed bothered by us. they wont be getting my hard earned coin again.
us scattered all about sucked. if its going to be the same again i probably wont make it.
its more than just riding. that campfire laughing and sippin brew is therapy for me, it massages my brain. when else do you laugh so much?

tuts hit the nail on the head and it was generall agreed by eveyone who was there that we need to be on one site as it just wasnt the same being split between 2.

Other thought i've had is that a few people have worked really hard on the last few FR's and they have been really good.

How about almost going back to basics for the next one, so that no one is lumbered with alot of work.

Basically we decide where and when, all book into the campsite and just hit the trails, campfires and bars.

just a thought.
