Anyone from the Portland Oregon area going to Force 3 that has room for a bike in their truck or trailer? I bought a 1942 BSA WM20 from a guy in Boring Oregon and it's been there for 6 months now waiting for me to pick it up. I have to pick it up this September or if someone could haul it to Force 3 then that would work out really good I could help with gas.

Howdy Madtrapper,

I'm still on the bubble about coming over ... I want to badly ... but the wife is injured and may need my help and care.

But even if we do come over, we only have a Subura for a pulling vehicle, so your bike plus ours would be a bit too much. Sorry, we can't help you out....

Best of luck on finding a ride, eh! E-Ticket

fryguy,
it's true.....quiet, unassuming, modest, etc....
i get my courage up online thru my internuts, but in person i am basically an observer...
i am trying to get over my shyness.....exactly why i wish taffy was coming to fr3...
when i see the group accepting him, i figure they will like anyone...

i don't wish for much, but i really do wish fryguy & friends, taffy, and jaaason could make it..

I always enjoyed the FR rides, a great mix of people and charactors, although I don't remember you much...... I'm sure you'll have fun and perhaps find someone that will relate to you.

cheers

I can haul it from boise. dunno if that will be of any help whatsoever, but i will have the ability to carry an extra bike.

BTW, what's the weight of the Beezer?

The BSA is all stripped down and converted to a bobber so it lacks the weight of an original. I am guessing it must be at least 350-400 pounds. I will ask the guy.
It looks like I will have to make the loop, there appears to be some nice scenery anyways last trip down we did the coast so this trip maybe the inland route would be fun.

oof! That would squash the Scooby.... (grin)
Yah, you're going to need something bigger to haul the beasty.

You could also bring your bike and go for a ride, eh. - ET

Just landed myself in some steaming hot water here. I guess I may have "forgot" to tell my lovely and very patient and forgiving and beautiful much loved and appreciated girlfriend about the BSA in Oregon and I had been asking her to go to Gunnison with me so she's been stoping buy this thread a few times....sorry hun it must have slipped my mind....

Thanks for the invite, DezDuster ... it looks like I will be in.

Unfortunately, the wifey-poo won't be riding with us as she broke her arm riding up in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. I am working on her to come along to help with the driving. (grin).

I'm assumming there will be some worthy trails for her to hike while we're out riding, eh?

Cheers! E-Ticket

I don't know if this has been figured/discussed or not... But what is the typical loop length, distance between fuel stops, etc...

I would think 40 to 45 miles would be the minimum. My 570 only gets that, if I need to go further I carry.

Okay, my husky will get about 55 total. If I carry an extra 3/4 gallons for a total of ~70 miles, that'd be okay then?

Are there any photos of Erick's tank?

We are getting a hint of fall in our New Mexico morings. The evening temps are cooling some. We have elk living around where I work. They are starting to group up and rut. Our parking lot is covered in elk droppings every morning. The elk will be in full rut when during this ride. We might be lucky enough to hear them bugling. And maybe even see some of them. Fall is such a great time to be in the Rockies. I am having a hard time waiting for this ride.
