Howdy Rick!

How's this for a deal? I haul your Hooseyburger to Colorado for you... and you just fly/drive in and play visiting "Pro"....?

Or there's a spare seat and you can spend 4 days of your life driving with me. <g>

Cheers! - RandyB ("E-Ticket")

Greetings all,

Well the event is finally upon us!!!

So here's the plan for the kick off.

Wednesday September 16th.

For those that will have arrived by Wednesday, let's all meet at Fritz's shop around 5:00PM or 1700hrs local time. Remember this is Mountain standard time so that should be GMT -7 hours. If you want you can come earlier.

Fritz's shop-Gunnison Motorsports is located @ 500 W US Highway 50, # 105
Gunnison, CO 81230-3937
(970) 641-7377

We can then head out to a place for dinner and drinks from there, and figure out what we are going to do for the next day, as far as rides, test rides of the new bikes etc...

Thursday September 17th.

Let's all meet at the "W" cafe for breakfast @ 0800hrs or 8:00AM and to figure out where we are going for the day. The "W" cafe is located off of Hwy 135 towards Crested Butte. Just keep heading East on Hwy 50 and it should be the third stop light down from Gunnison Motorsports, hang a left towards Crested Butte, and the "W" will be located on the right side not far down.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Each of these days will be more of the same as above.

You can reach me here at the site or on my cell phone if you have any questions:

Dale 818-383-6035

See you there!!!

I will be traveling with carry on bags only and no riding gear. Are there going to be vendors at the FR3 or should I plan to order stuff and ship it there? Will there be dealers attending like Bike Barn or BOSS? I will call Fritz tomorrow and see what he has in stock.
Need boots, helmet, pants and protective gear. I might bring my helmet from here but my pants are toast and I have no boots here either. So I need a second set anyways.

Hello,
We have Gaerne SG10 in most sizes in Black, we have MSR NXT boots in most sizes. We carry TLD, ARAI, and an assortment of MSR,Scorpion,Answer, and Thor Helmets. If you can give me sizes on riding apparel, I can let you know what we have in stock.
Thanks,
Fritz

Kewl. We'll be there. We're leaving tuesday night, so we may stop and ride for a couple hours wednesday near greenriver or somewhere else close to the interstate, then get into gunnison by mid-afternoon. I know the moab/greenriver area fairly well, but if anyone has suggestions for a couple hours entertainment in fruita, grand junction, or somewhere else on the way, I'm open to other ideas.

bloody typical, the weather at home is better than in gunnison and is forcast the same for the rest of the week.

oh well guess i better stay at home.

or perhaps not.

Funny that you mention that... A few days back I spoke with the folks at the TT Campground about the weather. The lady there told me that during this time of year they pretty much forecast rain every day due to the geography making it difficult to predict weather patterns. She said not to worry. Besides that, the rain will keep the dust down, and hopefully make the trails nice and snotty! :D :D :D :D

Yes, it's all true, the saying around here is "if you don't like the weather, wait 10 min.it'll change, this is Colorado". just remember if they say there is a 40% chance of scottered thunder showers, there is a 60% chance it's going to be sunny. Make sure to have some type of rain gear that you can take on & off, a rain poncho you can get at a sporting goods store works fine . And it does keep the dust down, but it just might snow.......or hail........ or lightening........ and big thunder.

Made it,the weather is perfect. 70's during the daytime. Hope it holds up.

Leaving in an hour, see you there tomorrow Berger. Glad to hear the weather is good.

Berger,

Glad to hear you made it, and the weather is nice. Dale have a safe trip.

I am going riding today. It's 8am now. Call me on my cell phone 970-209-7238. I'll probably leave the shop at about 12pm for a short ride.

Fritz,
Are you riding Wednesday? A short warm up ride/jetting shakedown is in order for me. My bike has never been above 5000 feet.

I hope to roll into Gunnison by lunch time Wednesday.

leaving for the airport 0900 tuesday, should be in gunnison about 14-1500 wednesday.

whats going to be the best. come up to tall texan, fritz's shop or 3 rivers?
