It was a very easy install. I have two tips for you: Number one, the headlamp lights as soon as you turn on the key and when you hit the starter button, the voltage drop will kill the headlamp and it won't re-light. I installed a toggle switch on the high beam lead and mounted the shitch in my headlamp number plate. I leave the switch in the off position and place the handlebar switch in the high beam position when I start the bike. Once the bike is running, I flip the handlebar switch to the low beam position and the light comes on perfectly. If I'm riding at night, I then flip on the toggle and I have both high and low beam controls from the handlebar switch. I've had no issues at all other than this little issue with the voltage drop when starting the bike. Number two, when installing the bulb, I simply removed the two old metal connectors for the old headlamp and removed all the spring and bracketry from the HDBright lamp and it fit perfectly into position where my old bulb mounted with the wires exiting where I had just removed the old connectors. I bought mine before HDBright had an exact matching Husaberg bulb, I don't think item number two will be an issue for you since I understand HDBright now has the Husaberg/KTM bulb that's a perfect fit.

One other thing, I mounted the ignitor box to my lower tripple clamp. I simply drilled a hole behind the headlamp face mask on the right side of the tripple clamp and tapped the hole. I then put a small spacer behind the ignitor and using loctite, screwed the ignitor box to the tripple clamp standing straight up behind the headlamp mask and a little off center to the right side of the bike as you are sitting on the bike. It left clearance for the headlamp mask to fit back into position and has been fine with over a couple thousand off road mile on the bike now. There is another smaller plastic box that I also mounted to the headlamp face mask. I simply mounted this one behind the facemask right behind the pass throughs for the brake cable and speedo wire. This box comes with a piece of double sided tape for mounting it. I used the tape and drilled two small holes in the face mask behind the removable cable guide and ran a zip tie around this box to help the tape keep it in place.

thx I will take my time to install and if I have some kind of problem I will take a picture.
I was planning to take a few months time out riding in 2 weeks so plenty of time to install this kit and do some other small things to the bike 8)

I'll see if I can post some pics of my install. It came out pretty well.

Just completed my 35w HID upgrade on the 570. £16.00 on ebay delivered free from HK. Mounted the ballast and the starter unit to the rear of the headlight mask. VERY pleased with the mod, especially at the price! As I suspected, heat doesn't appear to be an issue. Had it lit for around 30 mins on the bench and the unit got quite hot but was unaffected. Out on the road it runs much cooler anyway so not an issue.
The UK bikes do not have the 'permanently on' lighting of some other markets so no problem with the engine starting issue. One problem I did find is that when you go from low to high beam with the OE switch the momentary break in power supply kills the light so I wired a seperate on/off switch and used the OE switch just for low/high switching. How it stands up to the rigours of off-roading remains to be seen.

ok no problem I just installed all the balast perefectly on the bike I only have to connect the 3 wires to the bike's controls it came with a paper telling me wich color wire was what (black ground/white low beam/blue high beam)

some info /pics about this would be nice because If I understand this correctly it means if I just install the light following the instruction's it will not work?

That's the same as it was with mine. You'll probably need a toggle in either the high or low beam line so you can start the bike without losing the headlamp. Mine would go out when cranking then not re-light. A toggle fixed the problem, and now I usually just turn it of entirely when I go off road.

My bike has 3 positions on the light control switch left=lights off middle=low beam right= high beam...
Maybe your bike only had low beam/high beam switch and no off??? (other country).
So it would work in my case if I start the bike with lights turned of and the nswitch lights on... or not :?:

You are set. Over here, our lights have to be on if the bike is running, so we don't have the three position switch. I should order one of those.

It's a nice kit but I think it would be better if it came with some instruction's just nothing
One post it saying wich wires are what that's it :?
I have mounted my ballast under the speedo and it touches the electrical wires is this ok does this get to hot????
I would know if it came with instruction's telling me what to do and what not to do
Looks realy good quality but poor info not everyone is a mechanic

thx this is one thing making it less complicated for me

I just moved my wires to the sides a little and headlamp set back just fine. I've had no heat related issues. I originally tried a higher wattage headlamp bulb and melted my reflector unit. I replaced that and was a little concerned about the heat too. So far, in almost 1500the miles, the heat hasn't been an issue. I generally don't leave the headlamp on if the bike is just idling, but I imnediately turn it on when I'm riding and it's been perfect. I have even left it on a couple times accidently while the bike idled for a few minutes with no heat issues. So, to sum up, I thonk you're fine if you just move the wires aside and set the headlamp in place like normal.

this is how I set things up placed the "box" upside down because metal side gets hotter than plastic (the side where all the wire's are)

Ziptie's FTW
