Good point Jocke, 6 minutes at their level is an eternity. All the marketers are going to say that the 09 is better to simply sell them, but the fact that he is racing it so early gives credit to his confidence in teh bike.

Thank you sir

It's a matter of fact is that the 6mins would have been even more if Jockes bike had not stalled on him causing a some 30s stop. I friend of mine was at the race and spoke to Jocke about this.
I spoke to Roland, Jens and Thomas at a nearby lunch resaturant on Monday and they said it was a great feeling to finally seeing the new baby in action. Lots of work still to be done until the launch late this year but they are full of confidence. Thomas actually won the old boys class (+50) with some 16mins, not bad at all :D

why the 30 second stall problem.... did this bike have a kick start or did the engine managment and electric start take that long????!!!!! Why did he not just hit the button?

Yes, Jocke, Thomas still hauls the mail. I only hope I'm still riding at his age, and enjoying it as much as he does.

I wish I knew
No kickstart I guess. Maybe a blown fuse or some connector that came apart.

Nice pictures¡¡

It looks very much like a KTM off course with a different engine, and they are missing the side covers why?

the headlight plastic on white?

because thay have used ktm plastics and its a pre-production development bike. a white headlight was probably what they had lying around in the back of the work shop.

I am thinking because the final production will be white...only assuming though.

Bone questions....
1.when did the exhausts come out on the right?
2. rear caliper on right, and sprocket on left{ that is so KTM}?

can't see that happening , they have put a lot into this and first impressions are everything .
everything on that bike is planned and too the letter .

It looks like it is trying to go out the left, then decided to go right. :D

RE: Re: RE: Re: Nice pictures¡¡

isn't there a case for the cylinder head to be pointing downwards?

tilt the whole engine forwards and down 3/40 degrees?

not now of course but before? after all the crank could stay where it is and the weight would be really low.

change the angle of the frame downtubes and the front wheel could be stood virtually upright and still not hit the frame under full load?

just an abstract view.......that's all.....

Taffy

in that case why isnt it exactly the same as the bike that was first shown at the show. i think there are alot of stupid questions being asked and questions raised where there's no need.
my husaberg is nothing like as it came why should a developement bike be exactly the same as the production model.
