RE: 08 Aus force ride

Hi Guys,
Rob was booking any Husaberg riders into one dorm to be together if they want. Tim has booked a cottage with some of the local DSMRA boys. Steve and I have booked a motel room each. Its all in the one place so we will all be together anyway. Take your pick Azza, it's up to you mate.
Cheers :D
Garry

Shirts are choice of polo or t, royal blue and gold with Husaberg logos front and back and some words about the ride also on the back.

Steve

Jamie,

Last time I headed north was to ride the cape. A mate and I took my the ute and had 2 nights on the road getting to Cairns, inland all the way. Only drove daylight hours because we wanted to see the scenery and the nightlife can be a bit exciting on the road out there too. Was 3200 km there and about the same back I think. 10 days out of Cairns on the bikes and back to Cairns. Return trip was down the coast to Rocky and then inland. Easy day drive to Rocky for the first night and then 2200km home the next day, got home a bit after midnight. Townesville to Wallerawang would be an easy 2 days each way, especially with more than 1 driver.

Shame you can't make it this time, and yeah, it is cheaper to fly, especially for one.

Maybe you banana benders should organise Force Ride 09? I always enjoy a road trip.

Cheers
Steve

Well Folks,
We are only two weeks out so start packing the trailer. All roads lead to Wallerawang in two weeks. Get your bike serviced and whack some new tyres on. Looks like we may have five helmet cams running so Saturday night will be good value over a "few" drinks. See you all there.
Cheers :D
Garry.

How many non-berg riders am I allowed to bring?
1 has owned a couple of bergs, 1 rides a Husky - is that OK?

I think it would be ok we had a few non berg riders last year. But i'm not an organiser so Steve or Cafey can give the ok or not.
Regards Pids

Coastie,

The more the merrier from my point of view. The concept is that this is a ride for UHE members and their associates, and anyone else interested in Bergs and a good event. Its also a Bathurst DSMRA ride as they are assisting us with paperwork needed to access the forest and local lead riders who know where to go. They will also have some comms gear too. Cafey18 and MeDogRocket being DSMRA members up that way certainly facilitates this support. Thanks guys. There will be numerous non Bergs there, and no doubt a few will see a berg in their future after the weekend.

Should be there and out on the bikes in less than 2 weeks now!!!

Steve

OK Steve I'll let em know it's all good and I'll see you there in a couple of weeks.
What's the official agenda - whens the riding begin?? Fri, Sat and Sun??

Coops

I am hoping to be available on Thursday depending on work, definitely Friday, Sat & Sun, Will post again this week once I know work arrangements
To all, bring your warmer riding gear as well as the weather can get very cold up here without much notice

Hi Folks,
Check Tim's post above, there could be riding Thursday but definitely Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It looks like Friday night will be a look after yourself job and our main night of festivities will be Saturday night. Keep an eye on this thread for Tim's next post for a possible Thursday ride.
Due to work commitments I wont be there Friday but will be there bright and early Saturday morning.
I sure am glad I fitted heated grips to the Berg as it can get bloody cold quickly at Wallerawang, so again folks "BRING YOUR WARM GEAR".
Plan to be catered for at the cabins for Saturday nights meal and Sunday morning breakfast. The rest we will fend for ourselves, like lunches at the pub or take away.

Cheers :D
Garry.

Gents,

Kym & I will be in Wang at about mid arvo on Thursday, Probably too late for a ride, but would be a good opportunity to meet up with any other earlybirds.

But if you have a short ride Tim, we might as well get as much in as possible, not travelling half way cross the country to sit on my arse.

It will be bloody good to meet everyone.

Azza.

Wang ride

Hey there, what is the plan for riding? e.g. are you doing a loop in the morning and stop for lunch near cars or will you have to carry lunch, etc? I'm trying to organise to come on Friday or Saturday only at this stage.

Bring a mate speedwaydude, the more the merrier. It's good you're going to make the effort even if only for a day. Thanks mate. I'm not going to be there until Friday arvo at this stage but might con the boss into leavin early thursday & drivin straight through for the ride on friday. Looking forward to catching up with all the guys I met last year.

This is a basic idea of what is happening for the Force ride weekend.

This is all dependent on the numbers that turn up, we only have a couple of guy's with good knowledge of the area, the area is not suited to large groups of riders so I would like to limit each group to around 15 max, some of the area's are very tough so depending on the abilities of the riders we will just have to adjust things as we go.

Hi Gang,

Talking to Tim and here is a subtly edited version with a change for Friday to suit the later arrivals who still want a ride in the afternoon.
