Strewth Wal, I thought everyone knew where you lived !!!!! Ha ha. I think Pids was suffering from alcoholic induced memory loss from the social activities at Louee.
I bet you cant wait to pick up your new beast. Get the suspension set up straight away mate and when you come down for the Force ride we should take it to Carl at Cafe Racer http://www.caferacer.com.au and get it on the dyno so you can get the best out of what you have. Hey maybe you can get in on the Frank Pons suspension workshop on the Friday and get it dialed in perfect ???? Food for though mate.

Cheers :D

It's sitting at the freight yard in Brissy as I type. 14hr round trip from here. You going to be bringing your old girl ( husaberg I meant ) to next years force ride ?

Yep I will be bringing the old girl, unless I convince myself to get a new one....... pretty cheap at the moment.
She has been running pretty sweet since our initial $$$$ " get to know each other" introductions though. :D

I've got the 06 FE550 on the market if your in for an upgrade Oz  I'd keep the old girl for another coupla years until the new generation 09 Husaberg come out, I've heard the'yre pretty different from what we know now.

Cafey, I am going to PM Steve for the booking with Frank Pons on the Friday if a position is still avail. Money well spent for sure. Forget the dyno, I'm still working out how to hang on to what I've got. Can you shed some light on the different rooms available at the Black & Gold Cabins ? Where do we ask to stay for the budget price rooms ?

If we can all start booking rooms now ( even though it seems so far away ) it will make for a better event cause we'll all be in the same accomodation. Start on the brownie points now with the loved one & write it in your dairy with a marker for next year. The first one was a blast with little or no organisation so imagine how awsome this will be with some effort from every Berg rider to be there.

Wal

G'day Wal,
PM medogrocket for the suspension workshop. I think Steve is still over seas ?
Mate the dyno will not disappoint or scare you. It will make your bike so well mannered that you will come away wondering why you never had it done first up. Serious !!!
Check out my first post for the website link to the Black Gold Cabins, lots of detail there. I have booked a separate room as my other half may come along. But I told Rob there to start booking guys into the one lodge and fill it first. Your choice mate.
I have the dates locked in already. It's going to be a great time.

Cheers :D

Hey Bushberger,

as Ozrider said, I'm in Gladstone & will be going next year. Where are you in CQ ? Best thing would be to go through the posts about this ride & get onto the accomodation. It's a very popular spot & you want to book it early to avoid disappointment.

cheers,

Wal

PS: it's OK you forgot where I lived Pids, I'll let you buy me an ale when we get there !
gday, Im out at Moranbah- between Mackay and Emerald. this town is dirt bike mad but there is only 2 or 3 bergs that I know. I am dead keen on this force ride, even though its right before Finke desert race but ya get that. Where is your nearest reputable Berg dealer? Yeah, I better get my act together and book accom soon or I will be sleeping in the trailer!

Townsville & Gold coast are the only 2 I know of in QLD. I sent my motor to ORANGEBERG in NSW to be rebuilt & what I paid on freight I saved on heartache.

Get your rooms booked asap. Speak to Rob or Linda & let them know your with the Berg force riders. Looks like the batchelors are shareing dorms whilst the family guys get rooms.

Wildman is in Happy Rock
JFC, it's taken me over a week to get that one.... sheesh, Glad - stone. Lmao!

Nice one Ozrider, I can see some verry dark humour comin' out over a few Force fed Husa beers.

Hello all
On the rego topic, NSW has a unregistered vehicle permit, this enables the user to use the vehicle for certain period. I used this a few years ago to ride in the Sunny Corner Rally, the catch is the vehicle must pass a NSW Pink slip (roadworthy certificate) I also know of one guy that has used this to ride his CR250 in the Sunny Corner rally also. When I used it, it cost $30 and the pink slip was $20 and my unregistered vehicle permit ran for 7 days, I do not know if this permit is still available.

see ya
How convenient that ORANGEBERG is licensed to do pink slip roadworthy checks on bikes, i also do CTP insurance and i havnt failed a Berg yet. By the way unregisterd Berg owners i prefer Tooheys New.
enough said.
ORANGEBERG

Orangeberg raises a valid point here,

what is the supply of beer / bundy like in Wallerawang? is there any pubs or the like nearby the Black Gold Cabins? or should I load the other half of the ute with coopers brew?

what is the go for getting a feed there also?

Cheers lads! I have the camera equipment tuned and ready to roll, new wide angle lense on board to capture some of the event (probably from the back of the pack).

Azza.

Hi Gang,

Back from tripping the world and now catcjhing up with all the stuff that didn't get done while I was away, the price we pay!

I booked my unit yesterday, and it seems I'm the first to do so. If you are coming, ring and book now, 02 6355 7305.

The Pub is a few minutes walk down the road, but whether Coopers is readily available, I dunno. MeDogRocket might know. Nevertheless, I'll take a couple of slabs of Sparkling if you are delivering Azza! Food is in town, at or near the Pub, and most likely on Sat night we'll have a feed at Balck & Gold. Rob does an awsome roast.

Cheers
Steve

Hey guys
Well i aquired my motor bike l's this morning so all i have to do now is register the bike. Will have to talk to John about that. I will book my accomodation next week. Then come on next May.
Regards Pids

To All

Regarding food for the Force ride, if we are organized enough Rob at the cabins can cater for breakfast and dinner or there is a Good Chinese restaurant, a great Bakery, a Take away, 2 Pubs one of which I know does counter meals and has a good beer garden or for those that like pizza Lithgow pizza hut will deliver if the order is large enough.

As far as beer goes there are the 2 Pubs as I mentioned only 5 minutes easy walk (1/2 hour stagger) from the cabins and Azza I do not know if they sell your brew but I will do some back to back testing and find out for you!!!

My intentions for the rides I may lead is to use some of the local Pubs as lunch refuel stops such as the Pubs at Rydal and Capertee but this will be organized closer to the ride

See Ya

Steve,
Welcome back traveler. Looking forward to hearing the stories from your trip and meeting with Taffy. I booked a unit months ago as my other half may be coming along. If she bails out then I will transfer into the barracks with the other guys. I hope Rob didn't forget to book me in ?????

Pids,
Well done Pete with getting the "L's". Does this mean we should all get off the road now !!!!

ORANGEBERG,
Thanks Johno for offering to help the unregistered guys. They best get in touch with you to organise what they have to do on 0263603800, just in case you forgot your phone number mate !!!!

MEDOGROCKET,
Your thoughts are the plan exactly. Breakfasts and evening dinners at the Black Gold Cabins "Humiliation Hall", and lunches on the run where we stop at a pub or the like. All is good so far.

Cheers :D
Garry.

Steve & MEDOG,

as long as they have cold wet and amber, ill be happy!

I'd better book soon also - have ben slack.

I do know that I dont need to stop for a feed on a ride, let alone a counter meal - otherwise Ill have to take a big fat lazy sleep after lunch! better pack the jelly snakes!

food issue seem great, as does pubs.

geeting keener now.

Azza.

Good to see the enthusiasm is stirring up. Great to hear about the license Pids, look forward to having a beer with you & Steve again.

I'm booked as I sent an email back saying that I was in the dorm with the husaberg guys. Rob knew all about it apparently but didn't take any c/card details. I might have to check back later just to confirm. Handy havin that pub nice & close too. Foods not a big issue as there's a steak & 2 eggs in every can.

Has anyone booked in for 22nd ? whats the go, do we ride on 23, 24 & 25th?, if so, I reckon I'll plan on being there on 22nd, whos getting there on the 22nd - whos getting ther on the 23rd, whos a berg.

It'll be a long road trip from KI, I estimate 12 hours from KI to Hay, and another 4 or 5 to Wallerawang.

(and speaking to a new-south-welsh friend), I have now come to understand that it is pronounced W'ler-a-wang, not wolla-r'wang, shall make a mental note to speak with the em-phasis placed on the wrong syl-able.

Azza.
