Sorry Coastie but you are wrong, plenty of room, maybe not motel rooms but the dorm rooms have plenty of space and you don't have to share double beds.
As of today there were 13 riders with only 6 booked in at the cabins, more arrive tomorrow, we rode twice today and the conditions are fantastic with better trails for tomorrow

Hope you and the boys are enjoying work without me, go Manly 8O :laughing6:

Hi all,
Well the post mortems are flying thick and fast and from my perspective it was a great time all round. I think some are still nursing sore heads from Saturday night, but they should get over it in time for the next ride !!!
A huge thank you to Tim a Mal for leading the rides. Also a big thank you to our sponsors for the prizes on Saturday night including BRP, ORANGEBERG, Steve and Wal.
I think everyone enjoyed the awesome single track riding through some of the most scenic terrain around.

Cheers :D
Garry.

Factor, you missed a damned good weekend. 8 Bergs turned up. All great blokes. We have hours and hours of footage. Me and the rocket dog are going to drink some beer and some more beer, and sort out the footage and post some up.

Timmy the "retarted wheelchair freak" and me on the black berg would like to thank everybody that turned up. We hope everybody enjoyed the riding and the giveaways. We'd like to thank Orangeberg, BRP, Steve and Wal and Rob at Black and Gold Cabins.

We'd like to thank Cafey for being the shiniest berg and the shiest bloke and general all round nice guy.

Happy birthday Ritchie...

The black sheep of the family looks forward to catching up with all the bergs next year.

Off to look for another bottle of beer.... and talk about how good I could have been.

It was a bloody good weekend. We really have to thank Tim and Mal for organising all the trails we rode and catering for everyone, good work guys.
Rob was also an awesome host so thanks to Rob. Also thanks to the sponsors.

Force riders - witness's wanted to Wang pub death.

Hi Guys,

Sorry i couldn't attend, sounds like you had a great time.

I only heard yesterday, but there was a fight at one of the Wang pubs on Saturday night, resulting in the bashing death of a 35 year old Lithgow man. The police are requesting the assistance of any witnesses. If you can help please call Lithgow Police Station or Crimestoppers.

Regards,
Ozberg

RE: Force riders - witness

Thanks Guys, honestly the best bunch of people anyone could go riding with, those who missed out or pulled the pin missed a great weekend, the trails were great when they got flowing, and the ones that didn't flow.. well, they stunned with their impassibility and un-ascendableness.

it seriously worked me over and spat me out!

It's got myself and Kyma thinking about new trails and terrain to open up in and around the areas that we ride.

Timmy, my helmet cam f***ed up again so the only fragment of footage I got was Pids in the puddle on Blackfellas Hands track. Thanks also for your help, and Mal5.1 sweeping up the crumbs of a broken & flailing azza.

bad s**t about the bashing victim, thoughts go out to his family etc.

on a lighter note, during the return trip to 'KI', and I think it was Cafey's line, "Momentum Is Your Friend", which I found to be particularly humerous when looking at near vert 150metre rockstrewn hillsides, arghhh, bittersweet memories.

Guys, its been a pleasure!

Azza.

RE: Force riders - witness

Hey Azza,
Glad to hear you made it home ok mate.
I really am sorry azza but reading your post has me rolling in laughter !!! You crack me up buddy. I can still see the "holy ****" look on your face when I asked you how you were going after yet another "moment" on a hill climb. Hey we all have our get offs on the hills buddy. I think you enjoyed the rest of the single track though !
It was a really great group of people hey. No egos, just everyone there to have a good time and enjoy the riding.
Cheers :D

RE: Force riders - witness

Hi guys
Many thanks to all the organisers and sponsors for a great ride - well at least for the bits I managed to get in.
Gotta love the SEM ignitions.
We found some great singles out there on the Sunday though. I'll be back. Needed a couple more days.
It was good to meet you guys and put some faces to the names.
Cheers

RE: Force riders - witness

G'Day Shane,
Glad you enjoyed it mate. Give us a call when you come back up and we can try and catch up again.
Cheers :D

RE: Force riders - witness

That would be right " the only footage i got was pids in the puddle" Damn puddles oh well i reckon it would have been funny to watch!!
Regards Pids

RE: Force riders - witness

Pids, if your get off in the water was anything like Wal's then it would have been spectacular.
Good on ya Azza for getting some pics in the gallery. Can't believe I forgot my camera !!! There was some great photo opportunities. I think the other guys got some and Timmy and Mal should have some links to helmet cam video footage posted soon.
Cheers :D
Garry

RE: Force riders - witness

Yeah Cafey for sure.
C'mon boys- where's the footage??

RE: Force riders - witness

Have about another 35 or so (some lifted from helmet cam footage) to put on when I get round to it, like between removing all the broken sh**t from my bike, and so on.

All I could think about today was going back there and having another go at those mongrel hills, cant be beaten down that easy, just gotta strike back!

Azza.

RE: Force riders - witness

Hi folks,
Spoke to Timmy last night and he and Mal haven't had a chance to get together with the video footage yet, but will soon. I am trying to collect all the footage from the ride to produce a DVD of the event. Azza, how much do you have, or isn't there enough to be worth sending me a dvd of your stuff ? Also Azza it would be good if you could arrange for Tim to have access to the gallery you set up so he can put photos and video links in there, if you don't mind.
Good to hear your not letting the hills beat you mate. Once you get that confidence and momentum thing happening they are far less scary.
Cheers :D
Garry

RE: Force riders - witness

Hi Gents, the helmet cam footage I got is not even worth looking at, the camera and mic wires were playing up, so I was lucky to be able to lift a few still images only.

The 'Force Ride OZ 2008' gallery should be open access to add photos, I asked Schwim to set it up on Tuesday, which was done pretty much straight away, so I think that anyone can add their pics straight in when ready.

Cant wait for Mal's footage (larf) so i can start accounting for some of these bruises. lol.

Azza.

Azza, Azza, Azza

You must come back so I can show you the real tough stuff, next time you will have to stay for a week, so we can slowly build you up to the real good stuff. We missed some really cool stuff on the Saturday ride and there is 10 times more riding like that with changing scenery around every corner.
Did you take those sh*tty tyres back to the bike shop and tell them where to shove them, they were ridiculous tyres to sell someone that rides a Berg
I will try to get some time tomorrow to edit some of the footage

alive & kicking

Hey Guys,

finally got the time to get on here & check the posts. I, like everyone else there would like to thank our tour leader & sweep who accommodated everyones ability on the ride. Some nice photo's & video footage was taken in "god's country" where we were riding.

I got back at 3:30am monday morning after driving straight through, had 5 hrs sleep then went to work. Tuesday saw me back in the car for a 3hr drive out to one of our stores so I pretty well know every square inch of the inside of my Holden Rodeo now.

Cant wait to see some off the footage even though Cafey was the only one that got to see my 80kmh aquaplane into a 4foot deep puddle at 8:30 am in 6 degree temps. Made for a great/icy ride for the next 2 hrs but would do it again ( this time closer to 100kmh & I should clear the puddle  )

Great to meet all you blokes & as expected everyone was great company.

Excellent to hear it was enjoyable riding fella's. We are fortunate to have an abundance of areas on our doorstep. It sound like Tim may have been setting you boys up for a fall!!

The single track is the big attraction here. I often hear of people riding 200km a day. Not in these areas you wont!! And the hills can be a challenge for untalented locals (me!!).

You are luck that the weather was pretty mild. Often those puddles will be iced over - not fun "offing" then. What tyres were you using Azza?

Kepp the feedback coming. Makes good reading for the slackers that couldn't come. Hopefully someone will list a day by day breakdown of the riding. Where did you take them "Timmy"?
