70 degree aux. Fuel tank deliveries

I accidentally cut the vent hose too short. Does anyone know what kind of hose it is and where I can get one locally?

Also, has anyone tried using one of these instead of that long tube?

i tried to use one of those fuel vents.... it leaked fuel everytime i went up a hill, dropped the bike and when i
fill the fuel up. get a similar hose hose from the local hardware store.

How long of a hose did you use? I'm thinking that if I ran a tube from the tank up to like the airbox area with the end elevated somehow, it might work. Maybe zip tied to the air cleaner holder?

The vent line must run up to above the gas cap, and tie in there!

please give that new moulder/molder a phone call and a bit of curry-up. Time for some harassment. It's about time he put his other jobs to the side and spent some serious time on yours. You've been patient up to now. If he can't make a move soon, maybe there's some other moulders in the USA who would like to make some money and put in some effort. (With a cast iron committment to make it a priority)

It's getting cooler over here and I'm already planning those longer rides. I don't really want to carry fuel in my backpack.....

I receive an e-mail notice that my fuel tank has been shipped from the distributer. After waiting since last June and having paid in advance for it, I am very pleased to see this is happening. I have been putting off a few things on my bike because I wanted to do it all at one time. Here's to longer not worring about fuel rides.

Hi BB,

I'm going to give him a ring tomorrow............wanted to give him a few days to try and make some clean out parts after the work on the mold. This guy has had the mold for a short time relatively speaking, and I have made it very clear that I NEED these parts ASAP!

He is a moto head like us, and so far has provided me with updates as soon as he gets something done, which is different from the past experiences.

FYI, when he asked how many parts I wanted, he said what like 25 or 50? I said no, I want 200 as soon as you can get them to me.

We have fitted the new 2.0 subframe, but is was clearly a job for two persons, 3 hours.

The routing of the breather line I'll do tomorrow. There is already gas in the front tank which started leveling with the subframe immediately.

Swapped the old in-pump filter out for a new one. There were some long fibers in it from some kind of cloth, some dog hairs but that was it. Not bad at all, pump has not suffered.

The wiring behind the battery box is indeed a pain in the *** and one should be really careful not to clamp off the blue connection hose between the two tanks. It helps if one can jack up the bike really high so that you can see from below what is happening there.

I placed a deposit (I paid the full amount) on the auxiliary fuel tank for the Husaberg in December 2012. The money was placed with the 70 degree website. This was before you announced that you were going to provide a fuel tank for all of those customers that had placed a deposit on the tanks. What is the situation relating to my deposit (full payment)?

I installed my tank and took the bike to Baja to watch the San Felipe 250. It worked flawlessly!!

I did the install a bit differently than the instructions say and it came out really good. It's not quite as stealthy but that's ok. I must have talked to or emailed or texted Dale 10 times while doing this and he was always quick to respond. Great guy!

I was having trouble with the plastic barbed connector for the vent line. When I put the seat on, it would make the vent line kink. Dale was nice enough to tell me what size fitting I needed and I scored a brass 90 degree coupling from ACE Hardware. I then safety wired the tube to the fitting









I then routed the vent line over the main fuel tank instead of under. This was mostly done because I cut the tube too short on my first attempt. I think it ended up working better. The aux tank fills very quickly, although I have nothing to compare it against. A couple holes drilled later and this is the final outcome.





Thanks for making such an awesome tank! On the ride home I did 122 miles and, while the low fuel light was on, I still had plenty of fuel for another 20 I bet.
