Anyone know what causes a drip from the water pump vent hole on a FS650? I saw a couple drips early in the day, and by the end of the races I could hear it boiling and steam was coming out the vent. I am only using water wetter due to track requirement. Ideas? Thanks!

I have a new to me FE550 (2005). Given the positioning of the battery and its relay for the starter with fuses, is there any concern if this gets completely submerged in water crossings? Are there any modifications I should make to it? Thanks! Rob
