    installing water pump seal, what side faces out.

    I'm doing my regular maintenance on my 2005 fs650e. I have always installed the water pump seal with the spring on the inside. I have never had any leaking problems. I read somewhere that the spring on the seal should be facing the impeller. Just wondering how everybody else installes them...

    Has anyone with the TE250 or TE300 encountered any issues with water crossings? The air intake looks mighty low and not very well protected.... I've ordered a 250 and am slightly concerned by this - my FE550 plows through rivers!

    water logged from puddle

    First time out on my 07 450. Went through a little puddle and had to get towed back home. Not cool. Air filter was soaked. Do i need to drain the carb now?? Anybody else have this water issue? Looks like i'll have to seal the area under the seat. Really not that big of a puddle.... 25ft...

    Water Pump Seal Fix!

    The stock water pump seal failed on my bike at 3k miles. It's never been ridden in the dirt and the shaft was found to be grooved, so a new seal didn't fix it. Found Kawasaki part # 92049-0104 seal will fit and is 1mm deeper, moving the sealing area away from the damaged area on the shaft...
