All,
There are some great threads going here about trouble shooting, identifying, and repairing of the fuel pump's on the post 09 bikes.
I have made those threads sticky's to keep them at the top of the "fuel" forum page.
When possible, please make contributions to the existing threads...
I have had my 2010 FE390 for just a few months. It was a "demonstrator" with about 24hrs on it. I only have about 34 hrs on it now. Won't re-start when hot, no noise from fuel pump, etc., etc. Runs fine as long as I don't stall it or shut it down.
The question is: What is the magic formula...
Hi all,
I went to the peak district for some green laning on Sunday (awesome by the way, and well worth a few hours drive for anyone that's nearby), and after about 4 hours of riding the bike cut out. I left it for 15 minutes and it started up ok, so carried on, half an hour later same thing...
Hi everyone.
I am new here as I have recently purchased my first Husaberg, and am loving every minute of it....
Well, I took a bit of a spill in all my exuberation. I hit water the pump intake tube on a rock. Promptly my coolant started spraying out. After 5 seconds of stupidly :shock...
I have a 2005 FE550 and it has just started leaking a fair bit of coolant from the weephole.
I've ordered a kit from Orangeberg and also replacment o-rings/gaskets for the other bits/pieces and hope to do the work to replace the parts in the next week or so. Just waiting now on Australia Post...
I just got the new fuel pump from Husaberg last night and it is now installed, bike fired right up with the pump sounding very smooth. My dealer was great and helped me out with getting a good will warrenty for the pump replacement( NO charge) Thanks Scott. Husaberg did want the old one...
I've got 8.5 hours on my '10 570, the last two rides I've been on the bike's fuel shut off and dies mid after 20-30 miuntes. The first time it restarted in about 30 minutes. Today I tried for an hour and it wouldn't restart, eventually the battery ran down. After a buddy towed me out at our...
The stock water pump seal failed on my bike at 3k miles. It's never been ridden in the dirt and the shaft was found to be grooved, so a new seal didn't fix it.
Found Kawasaki part # 92049-0104 seal will fit and is 1mm deeper, moving the sealing area away from the damaged area on the shaft...
ok if JBS is too hard to get hold of maybe try adapting one of these generic mikuni suckers

Anyone know what causes a drip from the water pump vent hole on a FS650? I saw a couple drips early in the day, and by the end of the races I could hear it boiling and steam was coming out the vent. I am only using water wetter due to track requirement. Ideas?
Thanks!
Did someone find an aftermarket fuel pump that will fit into our tanks? I believe that mine may be going bad, and would like to swap it out to see if that is causing my issues.
For those curious, my 09 450 seems to have a 3 hour failure switch. On the last 3 races I have done, I make it about 3...
Does anyone know who would make and sell an upgraded oil pump, and upgraded water pump impeller???
I checked www.jbsracing.co.uk, Their site says they make them. But I have tried to contact them by e-mail and phone several times and got no responce.

Seeing as i have a spare tank laying in the shed, I thought i would have a go at taking out the fuel pump to see what all the fuss is about, i.e. inline filters and wires falling off. The only thing i did find that i thought was very bad, Was the tube from the pump to the inline filter had a...
All,
I mentioned briefly in the Nathan Woods ride day thread that my fuel pump had gone out during the ride. Well today I was able to find the problem and fix it.
I had first checked to see if I was still getting voltage at the plug for the fuel pump, which I was. Once I got the tank off I...
Hi:
I´ll make the story short. The water pump impeller got screwed (who knows why'). Which was maiking the water boil all the time. I changed the impeller with a new one. Once it was donde, I started the bike and coolant was coming out the water pump through the seal (another problem maybe...
Gidday,
I was lucky enough to go to a Shane Watts riding school this weekend gone, and a mate of mine with a 570 berg (09) and I both had coolant boiling in the water jackets from all the slow riding and idling around. This was to be expected as it happened, on a riding school I did a few years...
Hi!
I'm thinking about converting my FS650 to EFI and got a little bit stuck at one point ...
I'm a bit unsure about the solution regarding the fuel pump. There are 2 ways which I would take into account ...
1. External pump
An external inline pump just connected to the fuel tank on one side...
