Taffy, I know, youve already contacted me about it - i should have said ....apart from Taffy..
Relax my friend.
Ady

Ok gentlemen
I didn't want to cause a stir, but all the green lanes etc at the Isle of Mann, where closed, due to the foot and mouth outbreak.
However, they are open again now and we are proceeding to the next step of the 'UK Farce Ride' as our nobleman Taffy call's it.
Thankyou for everyone's deposits - The door is now firmly shut and the final contestants through to the last round are:-
Steve Poulson
James Poulson
Adrian Cheetham
Stuart Dixon
David Lloyd
Steve Alecock
Fraser Hughes
Trevor Davis

I'm not sure what bike Trefor Davis is on, but i think the rest of us are all on 'Bergs' better take plenty of spares then :D
I will let you know how things progress and look forward to the big day.
BTW One of the above, suggested T-shirts.... I suggested 'It wasn't a fu**ing stag doo !'
But then again !!?
What do we think ?

Regards
Ady

nah!

silly!

when we do something SPECIAL we'll have T-shirts but then again - that's also just an opinion.

Gentlemen.
I have recieved our final orders today.
Surprisingly they have asked for the balance to be paid immediately, but that may be a printing error - I will find out.
The balance is £ 130 each person.
This is for The B&B, the 2 Day's of riding and the ferry fares for the vans etc.

We have 3 vans going over. Mine, Steve Poulson's and Trefor Davis's.
Fuel costs should be agreed with the driver and shared accordingly.

BTW. I will bring all the paperwork with me for your scrutiny and piece of mind.

So, may i now have your £130's by 14th September, or some communication if that's a problem.
Will you also send me a PM when you have sent your cheque's and i will PM you to confirm when it's recieved.

Nearly there now boy's !!

Any questions ?

Ady

i don't mind paying for the ferries and 'his' costs up front but isn't it traditional for the accomodation and the trip to be paid for afterwards?

anyway, i'll get a cheque in the post and PM you when i have. tomorrow.

regards

Taffy

Hi Taffy
Not in this case, the whole package is from a booking agents company called 'Travel Services (IOM)'.
We ring Claag Moor to check availability with them first, then they hand it over to 'Travel Services'. Therefore, as with all booking agents, the money is required before the holiday. Hence the reason they have sent me the bill today.
Hope that's ok with ya Taffy.

BTW all, i'm away to Ibiza on a stag weekend, so won't be online till Tues evening.
Addios !

Gentlemen
I contacted 'Travell Services' at the Isle of Mann about the final payment and they have agreed, i can send them our £50 deposits, as that covers the travell side. Then we can settle the balance ( £130 ) with Suzanne at the B&B when we are there.....
Phew !!

Regards
Ady

So Gentlemen - all is still on, so far, despite the current foot and mouth outbreak.
Perhaps we should consider spares we will be taking with us, as there is no point in all of us taking the same stuff.
I used to have a checklist for this trip but can't find it. Does anyone have one they can contribute. So we can start allocating who brings what.

Ady

it's easy ade - you take everything and we make sure we ride with you!

Taffy

i think cypher has put a deposit down for a non-attendee! so you would be £50 ahead before you started....

c'mon! you know it makes sence, get your arse to the port and we'll pick you up there.

i've had a word with scouser this evening and i'm hoping he'll call the clag mooar for their spare runaround-we really need to go if we say we will otherwise we're letting people down who have the burden of extra expense....

anyway, one spare place left!

well it's done and dusted.

PROUD to report that 6 huseys lasted two days with barely the sniff of two punctures and cyphers 'hand shandy' problem!

for the unaware we had gruntenberg, stinky (who is his brother), ady, cypher, meesel and stuart who scandalously isn't a member yet and wants to know who we are?

the trails were a real, real challenge and so many similarities with moab bar the wet bit which we get in abundance!

the pace set by richard - our guide - was perfect, a great host he is too and his lovely wife suzanne.

http://www.clagmooar.com/default.htm

cypher is legendary at waxing lyrical so i'll leave him to at least explain all bar day two which was so much quicker without him ..... he'll tell you differently though!

a big thanks to ady who sorted everything out. a great effort by the community and good see everyone. a face and a name - it always helps!

regards

Taffy
