My report from the UK Force Ride.
The weather was great for the 3 day's that i was there, a little rain would have been nice to just dampen down the dust :) .
I would like thank EddieFE for his time without it we would never have been able to have done that we did.
he took us on some of the best trail's i have ever ridden he even found some muddy ruts on the last day. (i hate ruts), It was nice meeting Taffy, Arkley, Husaferg ( even though I'm still having nightmares about seeing him in a romper suit), Whitie, Knobby and Cypher.
I was very happy with the way my 570 behaved, the only thing that went wrong over the 3 day's was that i lost the bolt and springs from the side stand  . The Rekluse worked great on the loose rocks and shale :bounce3: .
Thank's again fellers for a great weekend.

Sorry again Taff for riding over your bike

Hello Lads!

back at 11pm last night after meeting all the family on both sides back home. my cousin had siad: "who are those cheeky buggers coming over the top?" when she saw us on the saturday. she's from Ysputy Ifan.

most importantly in time honoured Taffy tradition I want to start by saying that all those that said they would be there and didn't arrive are a bunch of bloody wnakers. you're arseholes, spinless shysters and don't ever put your names down again. maybe Bob has an excuse but as for facom, fatty, and all the rest....

I had a great time and the riding was superb! I'd like to especially thank Ed for being a superb leader. the routes, the smooth way we got around everywhere was first rate and I rate the trip as highly as either of my USA excursions it was that good.

I ended up paying rent on a gazebo that blew away and have a handful of T-shirts left that those that didn't get there have left me with.

To Ed (again), Andy, Fegus and James a big thanks for being the core of the weekend and doing all 3 days riding. well done Craig for being there for two of them with your buddy. I heard from my cousin that there were nearly 200 bikes in Betws on the Sunday. see I told you to go there but you wouldn't listen!

I'd like to do it again next year but somehow think 24 Months is more sensible. unless you disagree? :D :D

I'll say more as we go and try and do some kind of report but i'm completely swamped under at present.

regards

Taffy

Well what can I say. I only managed to get there on Saturday evening but Sunday was well worth it, what an awsome days riding. Ed thanks for being our guide. Thanks to everyone else for helping me out throughout the day.

Just looking to next year now and seeing who'd be up for North Wales again on the same weekend?

Friday 4th, Saturday 5th, Sunday 6th, Bank Holiday Monday 7th. This year we went up on the Thursday and rode Friday, Saturday and Sunday for an easy Monday home trip.

I guess in 2012 we could do that again or squeeze the riding into a couple of half days as it is so far from Kent and Cambs - but I'll ask.

Ed, what about deeper into North wales: the west coast, Dodge City, Balmouth etc? do you know that area?

If we are on I or someone else can start a new thread.

regards

Taffy

I have no idea what I am doing this weekend let alone next year but there is 2 good days riding North and South of Barmouth.

I much prefer a Berg only meeting as it helps to keep numbers manageable and makes us mix a bit more than just sticking with our mates.

and that is Barmouth in the background i take it.

Appreciate the caveat but if gunga din and or Husaferg say "yay!" from this end. I'll try and get things firmed up between these two. It is so easy to get into North Wales from East Anglia although the West Coast is a little more work.

I believe there is a Guest House around there called the 'Biker's Retreat'? not that I'm considering camping but it is a softer option for some perhaps....
