SEM ignition stators

Hi Horto, Thanks for the enquiry total cost with return post will be 198 Euros.
You can pick up my mailing address off my web site www.uk-motoplat.com
Let me know if you want to go ahead with it and I will PM you with my PayPal account details if you are registered.
If you can get your old unit in the mail at your end I should be able to get you one in the mail from my end some time next week but I must stress that I do need your old unit.
I do it this way for the lads down under to save postal time.
I've got three to send to your neighbouring island New Zealand, and I've only got one spare stator left untill these three turn up.

Regards

Sparks.

Just been touch with my brother in law who lives in the Sydney area and my idea is to rewind three or four stators and send them down to him then if anybody wants one just let me know and he can send one out direct and your old stator send straight back to me, this way there is only the Australian post involved. Would this be of any interest to you OZ riders, and you also save 35.00 Euros.

Regards

Sparks.

sounds like a good idea. there is a fair few berg owners down here. If I need a new stator, I would definitely like that option.

Thank you for your input Aussieforce, I know there is somebody down there that rewinds them but there's no harm in a bit of friendly competition.

Thanks for your reply, I like the option of sending my stator to your brother. Does that make the price 198-35=163 euro? Let me know and I will arrange payment asap.

Cheers

If it helps you and or helps my price I can actually send you 2 stators, and only require 1 rewound one.

Cheers Horto

Hi Horto,

The 198 Euros includes return post were as the ones rewound down there are 235 Euros plus post.
I have managed to find three stators that I can rewind for this fenture but they will not be with me until some time this coming week.
Regarding your two stators I will give you 20 euros off the bill for the one you don't want.
you would think that there would be loads of these duff stators around but because people think that they can't be repaired they throw them away, I had the same problem when I started repairing Motoplat.

i'm sure you've thought of this but in my experience someone has always changed the ends over to the wires. they swop to block connectors or go to spades from round pin - - or reverse!

might be just as well to give the customer theirs back or leave the wires bare so they get to choose!

Eh up Taffy werst thi bin you have noticed by your absence, yes the only ones that seem to differ is the 501 they come with a solid all in one connector block for the ignition leads. but I generally ask what sort of connectors they have.
Been talking to Nigel Bevin in New Zealand he is going to be my outlet for the southern hemisphere he's got a box full of duffers.

The 550 is coming on OK received some parts today from DCR's should be on the road next week all being well.
Talking with Alex today about what was done on the engine sounds like it's virtually had the lot rod big end all bearings cam chain not to sure about the cam he is going to look up what was done and how many hours.

Hi all,

I have just been looking back at my records to see how many SEM stators I have rewound over the last thirteen years and the number is close approaching 1000, but I don't exactly know when this will be but I would say in the next couple of months, so my idea is to donate the 1000th stator rewind free to who ever it may be on the UHE site, just to show my appreciation to the people that have sent me work over the last fast approaching 12 months.
Excludes businesses just for the private public.
Regards

Sparks.

Mr. Sparks you're a top notch guy!

We need to show our appreciation for you for helping us out. I may just send you some vitamins or something to help keep you around for a long time to come.

Sparks, I know I'm just a noob to this site (just bought an 03 fe501) but my friend Darrin (drdfblackm) bought an Fx650 some time ago and has had so many problems just trying getting it running. He hasn't been able to ride since he bought that thing. He disassembled the engine a number of times to fix mechanical problems, and most recently he found his stator to be dead. Perhaps he would be a good candidate for this latest rewind?

I'm lucky enough to have a bike with one of your rewound stators, and I wish he could have one and get his bike running too.

Thanks you for your continued service! When other re-winders hear SEM they go running.

Dominic

Hi Speaker,

I am actually dealing with drdfblackm at the moment and should get one out to him for Monday.
I would like the donated rewind to go to somebody out of the blue rather than giving it to somebody on merit.
There are many instances on here where people have had expensive rebuilds and hellish bad luck me included so I don't want it to look as though it is favoritism, but thanks for asking anyway.
