SEM ignition stators

Hi
I have an 03 Husaberg FS 650. The bike ran great last year and it has been parked up for 3 months. Now the bike has a very weak and intermittent spark. After reading a load of forum posts on here I have checked the stator and found that I have a resistance between the red and black wires of 2780 ohms
and green and black 158.7 ohms.
I have tried another ignition coil that I know is working and the spark is the same. Would these values be the cause of the spark problem? and if so is it really likely that the stator has broken down over those 3 months? I believe that the stator is an Eletrex stator.
Any help would be appreciated.

the 2780 sounds fine.

try running with the orange earth/kill wire disconnected.

try snipping 5mm off the end of your HT leads, new cap, new plug.

Hello guys.
This is Perra from Sweden. I'm new to this forum so this question night have been asked earlier... [emoji2]
I bought a 2000 FE501 late last year. I began with oil change and some maintenence before the winter store and when I removed the stator cover there was a lot of grey dirt inside. I cleaned it with white spirit and compressed air and everything looked fine so I put it together again. Now when the sun is shining again I tried to start the bike but there is no spark. All wires are connected properly and the reading is: red-black 1830 ohms and green-black 224 ohms. When reading earlier in this thread the reading for red-black should be about 3000 ohms so is this meaning my stator is out of order..??

Have a nice day out there... [emoji2]

yes sir! it seems so!

your reading of 1830 is very near to that of the KTM. that would have 1750 and 165. you have 1830 and 224. even the 224 is too high - I've never seen this before?

As the bike ran fine before the winter I think that this isn't a KTM stator but husaberg stator with a poor reading.

does it say on it: 'SEM' and also 'AMAL'?

Yes Taffy. Both SEM and AMAL. Also the flywheel are in bad condition so it need to be replaced. I see a lot of £ flowing from my account now... :) Thanks for confirming my suspicions... ;-)

the flywheel can be as damaged as it wants as long as the magnets are stood still in the bottom. even they can be glued back in.

Okay. Maybe I'll try to repair the flywheel. That can save a lot of £ to me. The magnets for the ignition seems okay however so it might be worth a couple of hours... :)
I include a pic of the stator for you to verify... :) uploadfromtaptalk1428333051884.jpg

Hey guys is Sparks still around? I have sent him a PM but haven't had a reply. Does anyone know if anyone in Australia stocks his Stators? Had a feeling someone was but am probably wrong.

Pids
