 WOW! Seriously, that is an incredible amount of work!!! I can't wait to trick my buddies! I don't plan on letting anyone know what's up with my awesome "mileage" I'll just let them think all Husabergs get that kind of range!

Nice work Dale...
There you go! Just offer to lead the ride, and just keep going ... and going ... and going..... :^)

Hello evereyone, I am a newbie to this site, I ride a 2010 Fe570 and I love this bike! I think this is an awesome idea..way to go! Thank God for smart guys like you. My question is how do I get one of these ordered? Thanks.

Visit this web site:

Click "order info" and then click on the "Buy this" button.
I used PayPal to purchase.

Grab the Swing Arm Gaurd and Disk Gaurd too while you are there and save in shipping costs.

Hey Dale, saw on another site that one of the guys has mounted a rear "Tugger" strap on the new 'berg by drilling straight through the black plastic piece, subframe and fender to get a solid mount. Is this an option with your new design (especially since we are losing the grab area, although that isn't much help anyway!!!), or would it spring a leak?

If you drill into the sub frame itself it's going to leak. However, I suppose that one could drill and tap a hole into the sub frame second part, and drill a hole through the fender and attache a tugger strap. Be careful!

Way to go Dale! All the hard work is going to result in a fantastic product for your customers

Thanks for the info Davo, I have the swing arm & disk guard already, I also have their radiator guards and they are awesome, way better than their competitors, a must have if you ride anywhere near bushes or trees. I better get going so I can get that tank ordered. Thanks again!

Dale,

Great job!!! I can't wait to order one. I'm been following the progress since you first started this venture! Quick question and please don't take this the wrong way, but why didn't you mold something into the tank to allow some one to mount a tugger strap to the tank? If I had to guess it probably would be a really popluar thing to put on the bike. You could even offer 70degree Racing tuggers!

A great suggestion, and if you remember early on that was something we had hoped to do. However, it became apparent very quickly that would have to be forgone, for the original idea of just creating a sub frame that was meant to be a gas tank. A gas tank that doesn't leak!

Perhaps in the future that will be possible, but, for right now we are going as fast as we can to produce the original product idea, which was not only to produce the tank but to produce it with little or no modification as a truly bolt on product.

Thanks for the great suggestion, we'll see what we can do in the near future.

Truthfully I thought it was something like that but I couldn't fully remember and I was too lazy to go back and read all 15 pages on this thread. Anyways I can't wait to order one of these bad boys!

Hey jbrown,
Myself and another 09 berg owner are ordering tanks. Wanna see if we can get reduced shipping by ordering together? 3 tanks are better than one, right Dale?

You'd have to write sales@70degreeracing for an answer to that question I'm afraid. Sorry I don't have that answer for you.

But, yes, the three of you buying tanks is a great idea LOL!

so that means you will not give up Husa yet?
I'm cautiously optomistic and didn't want to get left out in the cold on the first run of tanks. I borrowed another pair of CC forks and a shock done up for a guy a tad heavier than me. I have ridden it twice in the last two days. It's much, much, much better in the whoops and works good everywhere else too. There is hope for Bergalicious.

I am on the same boat-hopefully will have my TTX stuff next week and IF the delivery AND results are OK ,I will also order a new tank

That's great to hear, homie! Do let us know how your extended testing works out ... and what was your final mix.

Cheers! E-Ticket

06-20-10:

John Wiser did some field testing this weekend, and the report back is all systems are go!

John reported that the sub tank gravity filled very quickly, and throughout his testing there were no issues with venting, or fuel flow between the main tank and the sub tank. John did report that the rear fender fitment needed a little improvement in the area of the two lower front attachment points. We need to move the inserts back about an 1/8th of an inch to help folks avoid cross threading the 5mm bolts into the inserts. That would be that little counter sink that I talked about in my last post. I will be at the molders tomorrow around 11 when the mold comes back from the rotary molding facility to make that change which should take about a day. We will be producing tanks come Wednesday the 23rd of June!!!!!

I have included a few pics that John sent me of his installation. John also reported that installation was easy, and he will have some detailed instructions made up for everyone.

Installation complete:
