As of tomorrow the mold will be on the "arm" and we will be starting our production run of the first 50 tanks for our pre paid customers.

The mold was actually on the arm today making tanks, but these first few will be to re tin the mold and remove any debris left over from the last modifications.

O my godah! I can't believe it's finally happening!!!!

This is a special moment for me.
Normally I end in the back of the pack.

Now I am with the first 50 and I will get a T-shirt to prove it.

The first 8 tanks were shipped yesterday afternoon from Indio California to Tennessee. And those 8 should ship either Friday or Monday to customers. Production continues................

Cool. Sounds like I should be getting mine at some point in the not too distant future. Wouldn't it be easier to drop ship them, or is there some assembly and packaging required in Tennessee?

 I'll be waiting by the mail box for the subframe tank! I've been wanting to clean up the routing on the wiring under there, but I'll wait.

Timing is good. Looks like I might get a job soon. If so I will put in my order for a tank post haste.

Order just placed for a fuel tank and mapping switch. Can't wait until production catches up with the order list and I finally have a decent tank range!

Mind you, knowing UK customs once the package gets here it will probably sit in a shed somewhere for a week or two while they decide how much import tax/VAT/stealth tax/extortion tax to charge me.
:cuss:
It'll be worth it though! :bounce3:

the tax doesnt bother my that much its the charge the post office puts on for all the so called extra work this caused them, money grabbers.

Ahh, that sounds like the much loved ParcelFarce, sorry ParcelForce. Yes, no option but to pay them a "collection" fee, which on a low value package is sometimes several times more than the value of the customs fee they're charging to collect (now I come to think of it, doesn't that sound like some sort of mafia racket?). And they snail mail the bill to you so if you're not tracking it on line and chasing them there's another delay until it arrives and you send payment before they'll release the package. Then there was the 18 month period when they "couldn't find" my house and I had a 2 hour drive every time to collect the package from the depot myself (and no refund of the delivery charge even though they had failed to deliver in just about every sense of the word). Bitter, moi?

Still, I'm sure they mean well...

I have a question. I tried to edit this pic and upload it, but comcast is being weird again about my web storage, so I will use yours and try to describe what I mean:

So, excuse me if you have already answered this. On this side, why not extend the subframe down to the edge of the plastic body panel? There is room there for more capacity and there is room to clear the tire. Am I clear in what I mean?

Tazer had suggested a tool box in this same area, see his post here: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=11598&start=75

I will repeat again here what is posted above. Take your shock out of your bike and lift the rear wheel to where it would be under full compression and you will see why this portion cannot be lowered.

I didn't take the shock off, but I did look a bit closer and multiple times and it finally occurred to me that the chain guard and sprocket would come up and hit that portion if it was any lower.

Thanks.
