Replacement sub frame fuel tank is in the works!!!!

I know several got sent out. The people who paid first were on the top of the list, and there were a few that I did not recognize from this site.
 
I guess I will have to get around and order one of these. Got tired of carrying extra fuel in my back pack. Got one ? Do you have a picture of just the adapter for the fuel transfer ? From a previous pic it looks like you are replacing the bottom plate to the fuel pump module with an aluminum plate. Does this plate have the riser that goes up and the fuel pump drops in? It looks like I would still have room to drill and tap the plate for my fuel temp sensor.

No I don't have just a picture of just the adapter. Yes, it has the riser. Not sure if you will be able to get your fuel temp sensor in there, but, you might.
 
It's only a 12/32 thread. Might have to just get all my heat shields and insulation done before the install. Pretty much have all the fuel temp info I need. Here is to another order for ya! Good job.
 
Seems like something is up. There should have been several tanks shipped since the first of the month. It's a little strange that we haven't had a post from any of the buyers.
 
From the forecast when I placed my order mine was expected to ship any day now, so fingers crossed it's all going to plan...
 
Why is this thread not in the Fuel section? That is where you'd look for sub frame fuel tanks, wouldn't you?, or any tank related stuff.
 
Well I can certainly see your point, but then again the tank is being provided by a vendor so I guess it's like a lot of topics that are relevant to more than one area and you just have to pick one to put it in.

If I'm looking for something I usually use the search facility rather than trawling through the sections, mostly because I often find things that are relevant which are in a completely different section to what you'd expect, sometimes as a casual comment in the middle of a discussion about something else. It can take a while to go through all the hits though...

It belongs in the vendors section as we are selling this product. That's what this section is for.
 
I'm starting to get ancy about when this fuel tank is gona show up.
Any updates on production Dale? Things seem too quiet........... :?
 
John e-mailed me and said he was expecting more tanks Friday and mine was supposed to be in that order. I'm gussing i'll hear back early next week............. 8)
 
I've also had an e mail from John saying that my tank is number 17 on the list and that he was expecting more tanks to arrive this coming Wedensday or Friday. All the other tanks he has received to this date have been shipped to customers.

I should have it installed tomorrow evening. Had to work the weekend. I had a little time this evening but I needed to change the oil on my 950 se so I can ride her to work. I did take a look at the tank and it looks very nice. Impressive directions as well. I will post tomorrow evening :)
