I couldn't say what the total range would be. We ran 140Km for the day and I didn't come close to running out so I'm happy!
Jay

How much gas does the bike hold with the new tank and plumbing? 140km is what, 90 miles? That sure beats running out before 60!

I could get 70 miles on the stock tank with 14/52 gearing so I figure if the tank adds another gallon thats about 98 miles of total range. 140 Km is about 84 miles.

Jay

I was hoping for 100 mile range, but an extra gallon is good enough. Pushing that 570 is good cardio, but not a lot of fun. 8)

140 clicks is 86.8 miles.

Four of our pre paid customers are in, or were in, Colorado recently with our tanks on their bikes, they said they were doing 100 miles and still had plenty of fuel left.

Jay is doing 70 miles on his stock tank which is 31.8 mpg "if" he ran until he ran out, or rather he used the whole 2.2 gallons of fuel in his bike. So if you add another gallon at that mpg that's 101.8 miles.

As I have said before in other threads the fuel mileage on these bikes is highly dependent on how you ride it, and what conditions you are riding in. When I ride in the desert, I get about 38 mpg, when I'm racing I get about 30. When I was riding single track last year in Idaho at high elevation I was getting 42.5. All while running 13/50 gearing.

By adding our tank, you are increasing the fuel capacity by 50%, so in theory if you can do 70 miles on the stock tank alone you should be able to get get 105 out of it.

All four of the guys in Colorado reported no problems and were very happy with their tanks. Unfortunately one guy pasted himself breaking 6 ribs, collarbone etc.... Ouch! The bike took quite a tumble, but, the tank survived with no problems.

I'll try and get some testimonials from these guys and post them. One other comment that I am proud to include here that was made, "this is the best fitting after market tank I have ever seen". This from a man who has been in the business and riding for 25+ years.

Dale.

P.S. All 79 of the pre paid tanks should be shipped by the middle of next week. Thanks again to everyone who hung in there and were patient during R&D and all the delays we had. The tanks are rolling off the production line with no salvage, EG: no throwaways.

A big + 2 ...!!!!

Especially since your put life and bike riding on life to help make this happen. Kudos, dood!!!

Cheers! E-Ticket

I also want you all to know that without John Wiser this all would not be happening. John is my business partner, and the one you talk to when you call, and he is the one filling the orders now. He worked out the adapter plate, connection hoses, vent line etc. So while I appreciate all of your guys thanks to me, please don't forget John in all of this he has been working his butt off too. Clay helped us out quite a bit as well, and really got us set up along with Rod who set up the web site for us, he did a great job with the web site, and he is going to be schooling me up so I can take over the web site. Clay has now moved on, he and his brother are now importing Gas Gas off road bikes, and we really appreciate Clays help with the business side.

Well then ... here's a big +2 thank you to "Invisible John" ... without whose help ... DaleEO would be none-the-Wiser.

Thanks! E-Ticket

Thanks for the kind words Dale. I have enjoyed playing a small part in the 70 Degree project, its been allot of fun.

Guys, you won't find anyone out there that has put as much time, effort and heart into a business as John and Dale. How these 2 find the time to keep things running so smoothly, while still working at full time jobs is beyond me. Each one of you that have purchased a tank, should take pride in knowing the amount of time and passion that went into this product. It is beyond description.

Again, thanks to everyone for their continuing support of 70 Degree Racing and hope to see ya'll somewhere on the trail in the future.

Ride safe,

Rod Overstreet

Dale,

Thanks for the reminding us of the other folks involved. Good job everyone involved (that should cover it)!

Nice work Dale and John. I'm looking forward to a great product and extra range. I'll post up here and on KTMtalk when I get it installed. 8)

the word is getting around as one of the lads i was riding with yesterday was on about getting the sub-frame tank for his 570 and when i mentioned 70 degree he knew about them.

bigged it up a bit more for you.

Sub Frame Tanks are landing in Australia, Fedex man just dropped mine off. Looks unreal. Bling I ordered looks good too. Thanks Dale, John and Rod.

Dale, How are the orders going? Hopefully catching up so mine comes soon! I've seen no complaints so far!

John says that 12 tanks shipped today and another 12-15 will go out tomorrow (including mine - yeehaa!). I don't know where yours was in the line but they're getting through the back orders as I was somewhere around number 56 (ordered July 6th).

I don't know what number order mine is, but my paypal receipt is June 15th. Guess it should be coming soon. I don't need mine as much as some others do though.

Any news on yours yet? As it was ordered 3 weeks before mine you must be ahead of me in the line so I wouldn't expect mine to ship before yours has, though I guess they could both ship the same day as part of a batch.

I didn't get an email with the tracking number at the time when John said mine would ship (over a week ago now) so I've emailed him asking whether it went out as he was going to let me have the number so I could track its progress through UK customs when it gets that far. No reply yet so I don't know whether mine actually shipped or not. I was hoping it would be here this week as I had a couple of other things to fit to the bike and I wanted to do everything in one hit, so I'm still hoping it's in transit and it's just that the email with the tracking details went astray.

Hello Pete this is John Wiser your tank shipped today and I just sent your tracking information. Fyi I have shipped every prepaid tank but two and I am waiting on oversees shipping payment for those I have sold the remainder of tanks to dealers. I am currently having another batch of inserts made to make another production run. I should have tanks in hand again within 3 weeks and I will stay ahead with tanks in stock from that point on. I want to say thanks to everyone that has purchased from 70*. I have been unbelievably busy for the last few months and I have had alot of really good feedback.

Any chance you will make any in black to match the 2010's? I saw SERPEXC's the other day. Nice work!
