My tank is in the emergency room. Dr diagnost that fourth gear and large rocks are hazardous to tank life  Went down to the Mojave desert to ride this weekend and get out of the snow. Crashed hard. Muffler got bent under towards rear tire. The rear bracket on the subframe tank needs to be straightened out. Any ideas. I'm thinking light heat and pressure. Don't know the exact composition of the tank or if I should leave it alone and just make an offset angled spacer.

Here is the letter I have been sending out to all the customers:

Hello,

My name is Dale Covington, I was the minority partner in 70 Degree Racing, and have now bought out John Wiser and am now the owner of 70 Degree Racing.

The east coast molder that we had contracted to produce the 70 Degree Racing sub frame fuel tank was not able to produce the tanks as originally anticipated. So now the mold is not en route back to Southern California where I did all of the prototyping of the mold and sub frame tank, and, where the tank was originally produced.

I expect to have the tank in production in quantities ready for shipment in 60 days.

I will have updates on the 70 Degree Racing site as milestones are met to keep everyone up to date with the latest information on tank production.

Sales of other 70 Degree Racing products is still available.

I know that many of you have been waiting a long time for these tanks to come back into availability, and I have utmost confidence that this will be a reality in the not too distant future as they will now be produced locally where I can have a hands on approach as I did in the past.

Thank you for your continued patience,

Dale Covington

Thanks E!

Got all the stuff from John the other day........My living room is full of boxes!

Was super stoked to hear today that the mold is on its way to the new molder!!!

UPDATE:

I spoke with the new molder yesterday afternoon........

They are making parts and they look good. He expected to send some to his companies QC today or tomorrow for leak testing etc......

If all goes well I should have one for inspection in my hands by Monday or Tuesday of next week. Fingers crossed!

He had to make some repairs to the mold, loose fittings that needed to have bushings installed to tighten up the tooling fit etc.....

I'm sure that you've had a lot of sleepless nights regarding these tanks.

But, being one of the lucky people who already have one fitted, I have to say this is such a great product, it's hard to understand why the factory didn't design the bike this way in the first place.

Stick with it and sleep easy in the knowledge that you're doing a great job. I'm proud that a 70°Racing sticker is the only sticker on my bike!

Hi Dale,

Is there a way to create a small tab to help out friends who are out of fuel in the new design?

Perhaps a special kind of quick connect which simply opens up the line?
