Just wanted to update you all that our tank does fit all of the 2011's.
All of the FE's and FS's. Not the TE's.

Hi Jocke,

I assume that when you say TE's you mean the street legal versions? Our subframe tank fits those as well, one just has to remove the charcoal canister and put it where most of the street legal KTM exc owners put their charcoal canisters.

TE=2 stoke
Tank is not gonna work for the TE's

Dale was referring to all the REAL 2011 Husabergs, and not the blue KTM's :D

Hay Princy,

What was the postage cost to Australia?

I've been thinking about getting one too.

Cheers. :)

$189 US, cost me $204.75 oz. Tank and radiator guards $671.65oz, they are a work of art !!!!!!

BTW:
I'm putting together a shopping list that's heading your way

I wanted to follow up on my earlier post having problems ordering a tank. Both John and Dale contacted me immediately and could not have been nicer about seeing my tank built and shipped ASAP. I installed it following the instructions and things went without a hitch and no leaks anywhere. Last weekend four of us went to West Va and rode about 500mi in three days, camping along the way. The mass is so centralized with this design it makes absolutely no difference in the handling. I never ran it dry but averaged from 112mi to 125mi between gas stops. At that point the low fuel light had not even come on. I never had to worry about being in the mountains with out enough gas to get to the next town. I can verify this is a quality design and product and I recommend it highly. Dale - I look forward to meeting you and riding with you some day soon, maybe in Colorado this summer or on the Force Ride. Thanks for everything and thanks for the truly great job bringing this tank to market.

Thank Professor for the glowing review! How do your friends feel now that they see how your tank is working out?

Hopefully we will meet up this next summer up in Colorado. Lot's of trails there that I didn't get to ride last time that I am looking forward to riding this next year!

It was quite a joy to fit this tank! The parts are beautifully and accurately made. No leaks that I can detect.

There was just a couple of very small niggles:

  • It's a shame that you haven't been able to source Torx-head bolts to enable like-for-like replacements[/*:m:23g0xnfv]
  • The two 5x12mm set-screws supplied for the side fittings of the rear fender are a little short and don't use much of the available length of the tank insert[/*:m:23g0xnfv]

Placed my order for the tank about a half hour ago with my local dealer "Tri-County Motorsports". I asked them if they can get them, they said absolutely!! Can't wait.... Dale, are they in stock and shipping?

Thanks, Dan

Absolutely!

Dale my next question/desire/need from you and 70 Degree racing is a rallye fuel tank along the lines of the BMW Speedbrain or JVO Yamaha rallye tanks that is integrated and low. :D

I'm thinking keep the stock main tank then do a rear rally tank that is in effect your subtank integrated with the Aqualine rear tank but a bit bigger and lower and replaces the rear fender fully etc like JVO/Speedbrain, it needs to hold about 20-22L all up........................what do you reckon :?:

This would make a really slim rallye bike like the BMW Speedbrain 450X one with great balance and weight distrubution while still being really slim up front with the stock shrouds etc

There will be a few Bergs at Dakar this year, I reckon by 2012 the tide will be turned and we will see lots of euro riders in rallyes on Bergs. Just need the tanks :D

The BMW of Frans Verhoeven has the plastic tanks alright.
It even fits in a car.
