650 off-road in the uk! that usually means your either going to supermoto it or have come to off-rd from a rd bike back ground.

Wrong on both counts. I'll give you a clue:

I will have an 08 frame and swinging arm for sale in the new year. Unused, brand new....... :wink:
And will get Trevor to work his magic on the head before it's even run in, in the hunt for more power. :D

Hi Mushcat i am new to this site aswell but not to Husaberg, you should get plenty of power from your 650 as standard but if you need more good luck . If you need somebody who knows what they are doing with 'berg engines then i suggest you give GGR a ring as Gary has probably more exprience than anybody with them especially in sidecars.
 
KTM may have taken Gary's dealership away from him and his ability to get parts direct but they cannot stop him using his knowledge to repair them or any other motorcycle engine for that matter, i forgot to mention his telephone number which is 0163530202
 
i have sent a letter to ktm uk requesting that GGR be specifically re-instated as a dealer.

their reply was that it wasn't possible now to do this in the near future to which i replied that therefore GGR had been written out of their plans for reasons OTHER than any fault of their own.

that you simply don't ask someone to 'wait'. a bit like a homeless mother being asked to wait for money to come through the usual channels?

BTW, i totally disagree with danno's view that GGR is the best person to tune a husaberg. if gary has 'tuned' a bike he has done very little of it. the best person is ben ballard. he is not so far from gary. sorry, but there is no doubt of that IMHO.

The kick up the arse Husaberg needed. Oh, yes, we're making them available for £3995 for 08. It wasn't made particularly clear this didn't include the entire line up now, did it?

I believe this might be a reflection of how great KTM UK seem to be at business.

Yes sir, you can have any model you like for £3995 as long as it's not the bike you want, I wonder.....:wink:

Just passing on what we have been told that the offer is FE450 & 550 not FE650, whether its because they have'nt got any or the FE650 isn't included in the offer we don't know.

I don't think this post should be about an argument between ourselves, but I do have to say, Taffy, that the true meaning of the word tuning is to set up an engine so that it runs properly and efficiently - in that sense, GGR is as good as you're going to get when it comes to Husaberg. He also knows what needs to happen to get reasonable performance improvements for reasonable costs and without unreasonable consequences.

And before really upping the game regarding Ben Ballards big-bore kit, which I agree is a thing of marvel, go and ask him exactly what kind of performance they're getting out of it compared to a moderately tuned 650 engine. You might be surprised.

Ben doesn't get enough credit for all the cutting edge work he does with Husabergs... a very humble man.
 
I thank all you gentlemen for your concern, but I have definately got an 08 650 enduro. Sometimes it's not what you know but who know......
As for tuning, I too know Gary Grover and he is a thoroughly nice chap who certainly knows his Husaberg onions. But Trevor is a demon on cylinder heads and uses his in house dyno for optimum results, so I'll stick with him.
As for Ben Ballard, I am aware of his work, but prefer a motor that will hold together for a a bit longer than his at the moment.
 
Great deal, me and a couple mates just ordered Three new FE450s from midwest for £3995 each, never had a Husaberg before (always had wr or crfx) had a test ride on there fe450 and loved it, seemed to good a deal to miss. :)

Mushcat, is there still any deals on 08 FE650 and if so who's sellin em as I'd love one at that price!!.. V tempted by 550 but looking to SM it so the extra cubes might be nice
