husaberg fs 570 "project"

My excels are also without cush hub, but I think they still weight more than stock even with the nice billet hubs... :(

We'll see what they truly weight once they are laced back together, might be time for Carbon Matrix Alpina's if they are at least 2kg lighter.

a 4.25inch wheel should be lighter than a 5inch alltough it would surprise me with the stock heavy hub setup you'l see you know the weight of the carbon matrix now (size 17 in front )

My 3M tape tubeless mod added maybe ~200-250g to rear wheel and maybe 50-100g less for front. Gonna try the Outex stuff this time even though it's quite expensive approx 100€. Ran out of 3M tape and new roll is close to 150€ or so...

I received my 17¨enduro tyres allthough I doubt they are gonna fit my rims :(
I made a vid while getting the rear tyre of my stock wheel.

tomorrow I wil go to the dealer and see if I can use them (normally I mount my tyres myself but these enduro things are a PITA to instal very though carcass etc)

One method I use to break beads on tires is to use the kickstand of another bike. Put padding down on ground, put wheel on it, stab the tire bead area with another bike's kickstand using your weight to push and balance. It works quite well. Learned from dirtbike forums.

It all depends what kind of tyre you have to get on/off the rim :)
Some are impossible to get on/off without machine and some are so easy you can even mount them without using tools :D (the stock michelin's are super easy to get on just use ziptie's/soap  )

I already seen that vid that subframe is nice in black 8)

Painted the subframe black! Never thought I could get decent adhesion on that slippery plastic but looks like I succeeded. Has been fine for a year, only underside starts to get a bit rough from the sandblasting that rear tire always does.

Almost tried to paint the fuel tank, but luckily I didn't. Put some 3M 1080 -series vinyl on the tank sides and after one day it was bubbling everywhere. Could smell raw fuel fumes on the vinyl and that was a clear indication that nothing could be done to it.

Just finished putting the stock exhaust/plain black plastics back on now I just need a 13t front sprocket and the bike is ready for a 1st offroad test

1st test
I crashed 3 times and got stuck once :D
Next time I'm taking my gopro so you can laugh at me failing

yesterday some snow here to (belgium)
It's cold around 0°c now but during afternoon just "warm" enough to ride some enduro :D some puddles where frozen on the surface but I could ride through them

thanx :D
Today I ordered a "fan" kit for the husaberg using a ktm voucher -50€ (same part/part nr as hsb fan kit)
When I'm riding offroad (slow) the bike gets slightly to hot sometimes

The bike will stay in this "mud mode" for a while now after this I will need a new chain/sprockets because the chain realy had its best time now (O rings stretched) the gearing (13/41) is still way to long for slow offroad stuff but can't fit a big enough rear sprocket so I will do it thus way
Gonna make some pics next time I go playing
Not riding it much this time of the year only one 2-3hour ride every few weeks so the chain still has to last a few moths :D

Still no news from fmf its been over 40 days now
My bike doesn't work anyway it's been with the dealer for 1 week now no news yet...
Maybe dirt in fuel lines from tank or something it always starts (cold) and once it gets some temp the bike stalls and doesnt want to start till you let it cool down again...

I have my berg back and running there was dirt in the fuel lines/fuel pump/injector... all cleaned and ready to go but it's not in great shape the bars are bend pretty bad (was to tired last time I'v ride it to notice  )
The chain needs replacing soon.
So I will have to order some new things again soon the fmf header will arrive in approx 2-3 weeks according to my dealer :)
I'm thinking about taking a chain another+2 links compared to my previous to fit 43t rear sprocket and switch between 14-15 on the front I think I will need 122 links but not sure have to check before ordering I think stock is 118 and now running 120links with 41 rear sprocket

My 2011 FE570 runs 112 links for 14x42, and 114 links for 14x45(long, almost fully back on swingarm adjustment). I just bought the 114, so those are both actual numbers.

Have you counted your links? Just count the plates and double the number =links.

Also, your bike should be able to fit a big sprocket in the rear if you wish. Look at the rear chain guard, and notice the rear aluminum 'nut' has 2 orientations. You flip that piece for running small or large sprockets. In the small mode, it is good for 42 or 43, but definitely not as big as 44. Once you flip it, it fits 52+ as needed.
