Last night fitted a H4 bulb headlight insert with glass lens from a '92 to '96 Husky into the headshell of my '98 'Berg. With a 55/60 watt bulb the light is excellent, particularly compared to the original, and now I'd have no problems riding distance on the road at night.
All it required was two small angle sheet metal brackets to hold it in with no modifications to either the headshell or the headlight. It took less than an hour to fit. The standard bulb is 55/60 watt, but H4s are available in 60/90 and 90/130 watt. I think the reflector might melt with the larger bulb, but it might be worth a try. Standard H4s are available anywhere.
