just watched/ viewed y'alls pics, arrived home to tucson monday at 6 p without a hitch. force ride four was better than three, i didnt think it would be possible, but in some of the hero vid I got I think i heard myself exclaim- "this is the best trail Ive been on in my life" ill never forget the secret trail fritz took us all on. thanks to all the great people who showed, willing to help their fellow man and put up with all sorts of adversity just for the fun! super technical trails on day three ended with a downhill run to taylor park via about fifty water bar jumps. sunday's weather / scenery couldn't be outdone on earth... hope all made the trip home safe. see you at the next force ride,or earlier, you're all welcome to come to Tucson any time! drtbikr4lyf. m. jones.

Wow what a great time.
Want to thank everyone for putting up with the slow guy from Michigan.
Special thanks to Colby, Fritz and Tuts!!
All three of you were instrumental during some point of the ride and either kept me from quitting or saved me or my brother's ass.

How to interrupt the Fritz pre-ride breifing.
When fritz says something is easy that is like Bill Gates having to make his mortgage payment.
His easy loop, is me only having a 15% chance of escaping death during said, “easy loop.”
You also have to realize when Fritz says it's a short ride, that means he is riding alone and can bounce from rock to rock, ride a wheelie, and yawn through the loop without the extra baggage of couple dozen or so people.
So here is an equation for the total duration of the ride X=.02Z+.8M+Y
X= total hours of the ride, Z=total riders Y= the time Fritz said it would take, M= total slow ass members of the ride from Michigan

So here is one of the rides broken down
Fritz said 2-3 hours so I put 2.5 into the Fritz factor.
Total people on ride 24. Total slow ass people from Michigan 2.
X= (.02*24)+(.8*2)+2.5
X=.48+1.6+2.5
X= 4.58 hour ride. This formula was validated by my GPS on every trip.
What a great event and what a great group of people. Cannot wait for the next one and will see you all in Moab in two years!!!
All kidding aside had an incredible time and met some incredible people.

Here are videos from the back of the pack!!

I edited the post and added names. Sorry you missed a good one. I would have enjoyed meeting you.
Yah ... me too. Bummer. But next time, eh!

BTW, in the Fossil Ridge videos -- how many people were using trials tires?
Quite a few of the rocky/muddy trails look like some of ours in Orygun.

Thank EVERYBODY for a great 4 days. Never have I met a group of people that were so great to ride with. I got to ride some amazing trails I most likely would have not tackled had I known what I was in for. Even in the 50s and raining the trip was amazing. Thanks for letting a guy on the orange cousin ride with you guys! I look forward to seeing you all again.

HERE is the link to the slideshow for my photobucket page that has my FR4 photos on it.

As you'll notice i just randomly take photos.

Also called by Buffalo Bills grave on the way home, grave could do with a little TLC but the museum is quite good.

rear trials tires ruled.
i ran a front trials and tubliss at 7.5psi and was great.
the only time i thought the front trials wasnt working was in the super sticky mud but even knobbies were acting the same way.

Hey...Just wanted to ask that everyone that was on the Force Ride, please take a moment and email Tim Walsworth from Tucker Rocky at [email protected] and thank him for the Tucker Rocky (MSR,Protaper,Bikemaster products) he donated.
Thanks
Fritz

While we are at it, I would like to thank a few more sponsors.
Please send out a thanks to our own JoeT from Turntech batteries for the batteries he so generously donated. They were a big hit (not mention serious kit). [email protected]
We also need to thank the guy's from Scotts and Trailtech for there gift cards and certificates.
Last but not least, Andreas, Pete and Steve from Husaberg for getting on board once again, and bringing the demo's and supplying the t-shirt's (very nice). It's great when a manufacture can acknowledge the users in this fashion

Anyone have some video of Day 1 and Day 2 trails?
Mike how about the video of when you almost T-Boned me?

i am currently sorting out the video Ive got including the near miss with toopilot, will attempt posting tomorrow...

what is the problem with cypher's pics? I only get a black screen on the photobucket site... not tech savvy jo nes...but so far all the ones ive seen from scott and co. are great.

Force Ride 4 (according to MrSmooth)

Rumor has it Cypher was trying to rally a group to bail.

No rumour, had there been a way out i'd of taken it , and i wasnt the only one, but there wasnt and as it turned out the 2nd half of the ride made up for all the effort in the first part.

FYI It has not rained nor has there been much of a trace of a cloud since Sunday!

the rain was brought by out of the country foreigners.
according to some of the staff at harmels [both male & female & the 'pats'] the foreigners shared some other gifts with them in the hot tub. they will now be receiving a reminder every month. apparently the hot tub water makes blisters boil and burst, hence the fun is spread to all. the male bartender [$3 bill] said he got a direct injection and it was 'smooth' like a florida smile...if you know what i mean.
not all the foreigners were from out of the country. some were from the swamplands just above cuba.
apparently this type of creature losses some hearing and depth perception after cocktails [no, not their normal kind :puke: but the drinking kind this time ] and thinks the bar walls are falling down and has to prop them up. there was some confusion about the restrooms not having divider walls with waist level holes in them. they had their own fold out seat and chapstick [chap stick not chaps (richard) ]and the disappointment was evident when the layout wasnt as hoped.

i loved the rain. to me the weather was aces.

all in all it was wonderful.
thanks to all for putting it together and assisting with the rides and goodies.
berger, daleo, kadlec, cheeseberger, other leaders, sweepers, husaberg, giftgivers, etc. made it extra special.
the raffle was obviuosly rigged, as always, but i did get a nice gift bag when it was over.
looking to do a gunnison trip next year. cant wait two years between venues.

tuts

"smooth like a Florida smile" nice!

I agree about the weather. My wife had bought me a Klim Goretex jacket for Christmas and I had hoped to use it. Turns out, I only took it off once on the trail and immediately wished i hadn't. Except for the "spirited" rainy cold road ride to Star trial I was comfortable (except for my hands) most of the week.

Mike, Conan, Fritz, DaleO - let's see some helmet cam of some of the nasty areas. Star or any of the third day would be cool.

All I can say is WOW! Clearly I'm still a newbie/outsider around here but the pics were incredible. Great to see all you guys out there and thanks for sharing.

Can't make it this time.
Sadly ... E-Ticket

sorry for the bad news.
i know what you mean about the economy stuff.
i figured a few ways to make some spare coin...
like when cypher spilts the room cost, he doesnt see the bill so he doesnt know for sure and he wont read this till he's back in what ever foreign country he's from.
another is some tss...trial side sabatoge...screw up someones bike while they take a picture or pee and then just happen to have the tools and parts...at a ridiculous cost of course
also dont underestimate a good wet sneeze....see a plate of food you like, sniff some black powder and ... well its yours now
someone needs a ride to the ridesite...load the bike and then have your mates all 'pay' and the fellow you are 'helping out' doesnt want to look bad so....cash in hand.
i learned this one from 'others' on fr1....dont buy beer just keep on bumming and bumming
you can try living on the free chili for 3 days like brandon does put that painful.

also, have you looked into getting a rich girlfriend? i wont really be a gfriend but a second job...you will be seen as a saint and a scholar.

there's always next time.... but thats not true. there might not be a next time, or a next day. most peoples retirement palns have 1 error in common...they all have the planner there in the future. thats not how it always works. and i've been to the future and it got a lot of different people.

so dont feel badly, if you were dead you wouldnt have this situation. dont over stress. remember...tomorrow will be worse.

so, did YOU make it TUTS? haven't followed this ride at all, and sorry to interject...but inquiring minds want to know if the general public was exposed to TUTS and his ill medicated self? if so, terribly sad that I missed an FR again.

hope all is well here

fry
