Hey guys,

Would someone edit the top post to indicate the current plan for this ride (or create a sticky or equivalent)?

I have a buddy that might be in the area (I think) when you are. But I can't find the details, and would prefer to not sift through 25 pages to find the info. It'd be nice to be able to get the latest plans quickly.

Thanks,

-parsko

The "current plan" is indicated in the title. Force Ride 3, Gunnison September 17th-20th 2009. Beyond meeting at the Tall Texan Campground, that is all we have to date.

Now....you have about 5 months to figure out how YOU are going to make this event.

Ken,

Got it. But, I still stand behind my request about the details being easier to find.

The house I'm trying to buy closes on May 11. It's a HUD loan (rehab loan), and I get 4 months to finish it. That puts me out to Sept 11ish. Too tight for me right now. Believe me, I want to be there, but can't' justify it (aka sell the idea to the wife) right now.

Come on Luke, do those pants you have on come in a man size ? Do what I do "aw honey everybody else will be there, please, please, pretty please........." precipitous amounts of begging, followed by jewlery purchase. Then tell everyone how you "Manned Up" and told her how it is, around the camp fire when she's not there.

Hi Luke,

Just so you know. There was orginally two threads for this topic with bits and pieces of information being posted into two different threads. I moved the two topics into one to keep all the info in one place so that people would not miss pertinent information about the ride, and could see how we got to where we were.

Sorry to hear that you are not going to be able to make to the ride, but, at least you will be able to buy a T shirt!

"You're BLACK ! said the pot to the kettle" Sorry Dudes my niece is getting married that Saturday , and her fiance's family & friends are from Las Cruces, NM. Many people are coming from out of town and I commited to her that I would do anything she asked of me to help (that was prior to knowing her wedding date) There are pre-wedding festivities planned for Thursday and Friday, so I'm on the hook. I was just being a ******* to Luke. Oh ya and if I do make it , it will be for ALL DAY Wednesday !

I've got a question about the ride. Me and a couple of guys from the Oklahoma City area are thinking about coming. We all ride Bergs. I own a cabin in Pitkin and will stay there. What are the rules about bringing a non-Berg rider? Got a couple of other guys that would like to come, too.

As long as they are not A$$holes and like bikes and beer your good to go

how much space has this site got? have we got a limit? there are only so many cabin places and the rest has to be tents doesn't it?

Taffy,

Tents or motor homes, trailers, toy haulers, etc. Their web site shows 97 RV sites, 6 tent sites, and 5 cabins that sleep 4-6, best I can tell. I'm sure they would work with us as their web site says they can accomodate group outings.

I think from a logistical point of view, at some point we may want to look at what the max number of participants should be. Maybe we won't get enough participation to worry about a max number, I don't know.

I'll reserve one of the RV sites w/electricity and probably drive my old motor home up from Texas, if gas prices are around what they are right now.

Would the location for Force Ride 3 have a short loop for demo rides? We will possibly have a small number of 2010s in the US that we could bring out to let you guys ride, including the new FE390 and FX450. This is tentative but possible if the site allows for short rides.

Hey Clay
How short the demo ride depends on how fast you are

Im sure we can figgure out something vary good area to ride and you can set up almost anything you want from put put to thrashing. Corse the Berg boyos will want the thrashing loop...... its what they are made for ... right?

I should have known that the answer to my question would not be a simple yes or no, huh? :)
I guess we need to find something in the middle.....Maybe a two mile loop that isn't too fast or too technical. We don't want to destroy the bikes (or the riders) the first day.

Wow Clay,

That's quite an offer!!! I'm sure something could be figured out.

Great! Keep that in mind and we will work on the planning from this side and try to make it happen.
