Carb Mod / E-Start Mod

Just bought a new TE300. My dealer is suggesting a mod to the carb including "factory jetting" and new throttle slide. Said that this is the same setup that the factory guys run. Supposed to increase low end chug and broaden power through out. Costs about $100. Anyone familiar with this, or is he just blowing smoke?

He is also pushing a Wet Mod to the E-Start system. Says that they seal the ignition side and change venting so that you can run oil and make it a wet system. He claims it drastically reduces maintenance and prolongs the life of the E-Start. Costs about $75. Has anyone ever heard of this?
 
What year is it?

Jetting you could always jet it yourself with the jets you got with the bike or get somebody to do it for you. I would imagine factory jetting changes with altitude and different parts of the world the Ewc is held in.

I don't like the wet mod just cause I don't like the idea of it. I just take mine apart every 20hrs and clean it with petrol and wd40 it and it worked really well on my Te250 for 85hrs till I sold it. On the 13 I plan on doing the same.
