does look like a lot in those pics but rake is the same as this bike, stock 2010 rmz450
front/rear weight distribution is about the same as the 450 z but the 700s overall weight is 10 kgs less
bolted paddle is good everywhere except sliding on "hardpack".
surprisingly great in loamy stuff like this
its not really the sand that needs the paddle.. its all the tourque :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:
FWIW long ago they were known as "hookas" and used for a couple seasons in open class MX on the 500 2ts before a rule change sent everyone back to knobbies. surprisingly they work good in the corners too just need a bit of loam
if you have some real horsies you can even do this
no way with a knobbie
not even one with 25mm high knobs 8O
there is less parasitic drag with a paddle than a knobby for the same conditions and with bolts they last forever, I can destroy a knobby in a weekend, my last paddle with bolts lasted 12 months :twisted: the paddles are still OK but the bead is stuffed and won't seal off without a tube.
