by the way who ever missed Moab you really missed out bad

Ah yes, one more year of living vicariously through the Moab riders... One day I'll make it, just need to find an airline that'll let me take my 'berg on the plane with me.

That blue tanks looks fancy! What was the final capacity?

The final capacity is 4 gallons on the nose, no issues at least for me with the weight of the extra gas, stock petcocks are not positioned well in the tank, but Rick had some after market ones that looked trick and were a better fit, the only other thing is that if you have the kick starter that is straight you will need to get the one with the slight bend in it off a later model bike or cut approximately 1/2 inch off yours to get it to tuck in under the tank. All in all I'm very impressed with the fit and finish. Hey Sethro nice to be the first ones home eh ?

yes it is nice to be home, I posted a bunch of pics up here , go check em out

I visited the guys in Moab for the day and purchased a tank. I looked at the one mounted on Boss' Husaberg and it's a quality item. The fit is great and it doesn't feel that much wider than stock. You'll like it...

You might want to do a little more research about a guy before you start calling him a "Used Car Salesman" Having just gotten home from Moab I can tell you first hand that Rick Bozarth is a first class act. The poor guy was in a hurry to bring tanks and gear along with his personal items to Moab, in his excitement and haste he made an HONEST mistake about his pricing. He gave GENEROUSLY of his time in Moab to help other riders out (just ask Risky1) and for everyones information your local dealer will NOT have this tank for sometime nor will you be able to get it from Clarke for awhile. Rick controls the inventory of these tanks until such time as he recoups his investment. I now own one of the blue ones Rick kindly sold me one while in Moab and even though I insisted that I commited to buy that tank for $240.00 he would not accept the extra $40.00. Rick is an honest and straight up guy. He has made happen what most berg guys have been waiting years for. I will tell you that the blue tank is not the berg blue but closer to Yamaha blue

Rick and crew have earned mine and many peoples utmost respect. the epitome of what this site and the people here stand for was demonstrated this past weekend by them and many others.

Cool, did anyone have a clear or Yellow? If so are there any pictures of the other colors? 4 gallons is very nice! :D

Clear looks the best, IMO. BOSS had a clear one on his bike in Moab. On one ride, he donated several empty gatorade bottles full of gas to more than one rider who had managed to run out. Taffy was one of the recipients.

Our stock tanks were going 65-70 miles, maybe a bit more or less depending on jetting. Double that for the big tank and you have some serious range.

are the tanks very transperant?
can ya see where the fuel level is or are they like the yammy tanks where ya cant see a thing.

is it possible to put a clear stripe vertically in the front somewhere so you can see how much fuel is left (like they do on oil bottles)

Clear is clear, transparent, etc. The fuel level is clear as day. Even the blue one I saw mounted up w/ fuel was semi transparent. You could see the fuel level if you looked.

I glad the tanks are working out for you guys as it was the hardest tank for Clarke to make..., EVER. This is why you didn't get them back in December. Also, when the tanks were designed, the only bikes available for fit up purposes were 06- 07's which would explain the kickstarter and petcock differences. BTW, if you want an alloy cap, it's the same thread size as the CRF450 Hondas.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a tank from Rick as I can tell you firsthand that his a great person and he would only change $240 only if that was his understanding of what the list price truly was. You also know that he will back up the sale with customer support that mail order could never provide. Money well spent in my book!
