Billet cylinder head

I machined 1,1mm deep grooves according to the spec for 100x1,5mm viton o-rings. That leaves 1,4mm in my 104mm sleeve. As the mtrl has a tensile strength of 500MPa, I would say that: If your design works, so will mine! [emoji1]

Btw, the cam chain guide turned out to be too short for a 10mm head packer. The tensioner missed it! More machining...

I've had cause to use thicker and also 102mm Viton O rings after boring out the cases.

give me the top to tail measurement of your camchain tensioner blade Mats?

Machined a new rear sprocket from a blank today. Also toughened the cush drive with 92 shore PU inserts, as the old ones (84 shore) turned into crumbs after a while.

You need to cut a groove in the middle of the sealing area in the cases,
then feed the sealer in through a grease nipple once engine is assembled:D

Nice progress Dr C

Got my liner back from the platers, worth a try I think:)

Experimenting with tensioner blades myself at the moment, thinking could
add a small idler sprocket near the pivot end about where the bump is on your
drawing is Dr C.

we typically sold the last 'long CCTB yesterday.

anyway, I always felt that the pivot was too high relative to the SOHC. will let you know.

I split a Kawazaki KLR650 about three years ago and there were some super long blades in that.

excellent Dr_C !

nothing like the satisfaction of firing up a new engine .. I think i see a familiar smile there :D

Thanks Bushie! Yes, it's a special feeling firing it up and all liquids stay where they should! Impossible to hide that satisfaction!

Tomorrow is the first track day. Exiting!

Good luck Dr_C!
First time out on my beast I did a couple of slow laps to make sure the motor didn't fall out and then nailed it down the back straight! Couldn't stop grinning!:D

When "everything" beneith you is new, you tend to treat the throttle very gentle... [emoji1] I did 5x15minutes without any major problems! The pivot shaft for the gear lever came loose, but it didn't fall off, so I just bolted it back with some thread locking goo. Now I'd better take a closer look at it, to see if there is any other adjustments to do before the races this weekend. Other than the driver having to get some speed in his body, the bike worked really well!

I took the bike to the first races this weekend! Of course there were some issues to solve along the way, but I finished both races! Yey!

I couldn't really find the spark which makes me push as hard as I can, so the result was two moderate 10th places. But the chassis works good and the engine pulls all right (wheelies out of the corners and doesn't give away anything on the straights). There are some improvements to look into, but finishing at the very first two trials is good enough for me, for now... ;)

The interest for the bike was great, and I enjoyed the positive feed back very much!

That thing must be an absolute thrill to ride.

Looks killer, too.
