Thats the stub/adapter for the lambda sensor. Pretty high tech for something built in a shed by a self tutored fake black smith?

Now the CrMo-parts are off to get powder coated. Thrilled to see the result!

While waiting for powder coating, Santa turned up with custom JE pistons. 104mm bore and a large dish to reduce the compression to more reasonable 13,5:1. They look, and feel, skinny... The scale will tell.

438g including rings and pin. Is that heavy or normal for a 104mm bore? How much did the 105mm weigh, Bushie?

my 105mm CP piston weighs 328gm

its pin was 80gm but i didn't use it I used the OEM pin 70gm

can't remember the ring weight

Cr only 11.8 : 1 so the piston crown could be a fair bit thinner

Man, that is light weight! 328g INCLUDING pin and rings?

This piston is designed for 13,5:1 and 9200rpm, so as you mention, the roof needs to be around 5mm with the bridge type design... I'm hoping that the taller conrod will reduce the acceleration forces more than the heavier parts do. The time and mains will tell...

sorry Mats no just the piston alone was 328gm

it is still reasonably light for its diameter though.

Thank god! You got me there.

Just picked up the frame from powder coating. Drove straight to the workshop to put it together. Not too bad, hugh?

Very pretty DrC:)
Do not take this personally but what is the weight?

Wossner pins weight 66 gms and have diamond like coating can be brought
separately.

My 103.65mm piston weights same as Bushies 328grms the rings are 16grms
total 410.

Cheers spanner

Thanks guys!
The CAD-model pointed in the direction of appr. 2,5kg lesser than OEM Honda RS250R. We will see when all is mounted and I can put it on the scale again!

Today a got it standing on it's own wheels! That kind of a landmark, so I brought it outside in the evening sun:

Contiman delivered new custom conrods the other day. 145 mm tall, for a 80 mm stroke crank. No, I haven't had chance to weigh them yet!

I post some pic with weigt comparaison between JE and CP X piston on my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CRP.Contiman.Racing.Performances

JE pin is lighter than cp (dlc coated), but cp piston is a lot lighter and top quality too
