With no money, owning a Berg is pointless, right? Lol......okay, but seriously, at our age, (I'm 46), there is a common denominator of some sort....Now just what is that? That is going to be real interesting to find out.....
My Berg is my dual sport bike, street bike if you will, that rarely see's dirt, but is still quite capable. But with a Husqvarna WR 250 in the garage, why would I take the Berg off roading, more than a fire road or the like....Part of the joy of the Berg for me, is just being unique....Nobody has a slick FX 470e Berg.....not running anyway !!!!

not many kids in the club then !

but mostly cashed up old baby boomers it seems

maybe owing a Berg is a bit like the BMW Z3/Z4 convertable of the off-road world

Ouch Gazza! Z3 / Z4 - I dont think so! :bounce3: Z's are for hairdressers...

My Geezer-berg is like a Ferrari, to me. Looks very bling with all the latest things, and needs a lot of attention to keep it running sweet. Same as a Ferrari.

Hey BergBro,

Hope you don't mind, I added an age poll at the beginning of your thread here. If you don't like it I will remove it, but, thought it would be kind of cool so that everyone could kind of see where the majority of riders are age wise.

Dale

My age isn't available in your poll  Maybe im just a kid

Hey everybody! Only had it a month (1997 fe501E) . Back aboard after 30 years afoot. Bought a BMW R1100S to ride with my daughter and SIL.We raced together in 1974.Refound my dirty side when I found ADV riders and them on 500 lb pigs. SOOO I used the dirt criteria for my DS bike. Raced enduro on Huskys and Yams.. Of course I loved the Huskys and that led me here. Still crazy about scooters after all these 73 years. First M/C---BSA 500 twin. First dirt---Yam DT1 250 cc. Spending too much time on this puter, need to get out and ride Sally, ride!!!

I am 37. Been riding bikes since I was 12. This is my my first Berg and I will be on it for years to come. In fact I will be on it in about 1 hour, just as the sun comes up.

Just got my first berg (07 fe550) and I'm 30. A lot of my buddies (mid thirties) are riding them right now. Before that it was mainly guys in their later 40's.

Chronologically, I am 56. Which is about 12 in "recess years."
Started riding when I was 14 ... have had a *ton* of dirt and street bikes ... and my FE 390 is my best dirt bike ever.

Update: I just got back from two days of riding with a newly installed Dunlop D803 trials tire.
Now my FE 390 is my *bestest* dirt bike ever.

Cheers! E-Ticket

Rack up another for the 45-50 category! But I feel younger each time I ride my Berg!! Especially when I have to wait for my younger generation riding partners to catch up so as to make sure they don't get lost!!
