Goodness me, thort this mite have been a touchy subject but there seems to be a bit of input here.
Acctually now I think of it, my nephew in ozzie borrowed his dads fs650 (when dad was out) and it ceased to function whilst he was abusing it (he turned it upside down and flooded frame with oil) didn't run rite when he put it back.... now he owns the Berg.
I think Tombro turns 20 this year.
I have not let many people ride my bike (they mite realise its the bike and not the rider when i go flying by) as I dont have anymore granmas left to leave me any more inheratance.
Any owners younger than 20?

Old enough to have good taste, 51 years old and have 3 Husabergs with the old oilpump engine .
Been driving for 3 years now and won`t buy any e-starter before i am so old that i can`t kickstart an Husaberg.

This is the location of the the next Central South Island Ride, your all invited..

Good to see everyone dropping their forum pants, so to speak, and getting their ages out….I got a big one… 45….would dig to meet ya all and do a force ride with you all but it’ll never happen unless I go to AUS.I was a local surfer from Raglan (age15-35) who was brought up on 8-10” at indicators before breakfast plus a good rock bounce off the bottom. When I wasn’t doing that it was enduro and trials. Then mountain bike riding. Came south for big hills and skiing. I have so far broken numerous bones, but always keep riding, heard about Husaberg, but it was an enigma. Bought the 2007 450 straight out of the crate on the advice of local Berg ex-motox guru. He said” you’ll be right Ton just go every where one wheel with the berg.” He was dead on the button. The bike blew me away, sat by the swing arm looking at the braided lines, build quality/design!!!…you get strangely drawn to this product….maybe they put something in the plastic….don’t have any up for other outdoor pursuits much anymore. Goneberger. Bet I am not the only one who’s wife is jealous of yellow/blue plastic ?

Husapye, i've not been down to that funny little island of yours (mainland indeed!) but I could do with an excuse to check it out on one wheel.
When you thinking of running ya ride? Do you start ForceNZ with this? I believe there are quite a few Berglers down there.
I would like to get a few Berglers together for a roost around the far north one day. We got some groovy gravel up here. There is a pro quility MX track 500mtrs down the road from home owned by an enduro nut (rides an orange but he's a top bloke anyway). I work in the middle of a 2000acre pine forrest which makes access easy. World class fishing 15mins away. heaps of potential....... bring on the aussies and anyone else thats keen.

If husaberg sold anything smaller we would have younger kids on our machines but they don't.

also we don't do MX so again the kids pass us by.

that's ok!

regards

Taffy (aged 49)

so when :D
And I thought you were in Otago. Looks like the coast south of Kaikoura to me. Cant remember the name of the place, as it was a while back, and looked drier when I was there. In christchurch tonight.

Roger (aged 45, and been a while since I worked that out!)

I'm 41 and love unusual bikes, different ones give different pleasures. I got my first 'berg only months ago and cannot believe what I can get away with on it, how can some thing similar(ish) to other machines deliver a completely different experience? It is good to arrive at events and to see only one or two other 'bergs in a sea of orange.

My 501 will soon start easily, won't it Taffy?!

Young guy Iknow went to Spain for a career in moto GP rode a 09 FE390 bfore he left at 14 years of age

I wonder if the lads in Mattighofen are aware of the "Geezer factor" (myself included) in the demographics of the average Husaberg owner. I got my first Berg when I was 37 and have stuck with them. As Taffy alluded to, I think they need some smaller bikes to bring in young blood.

Husaberg enthusiasts don't switch brands, they just die of old age.

56 years old. Started at age 14 with a Honda Trail 90 .... a smorgasbord of dirty bikes and street bikes since then.
Switched over to Katooms (had four of 'em). Just sold my '08 KTM 450 EXC-R and now ride a 2010 Husaberg FE 390.

And am quite happy, thank you very much. :D

Cheers! E-Ticket

26.
Started in 14 with an 50 DT  . Then got an YZ125 that i had fore ages. Sold it, without an bike for 1 year. Then bougth the 570. Use it mostly fore SM.

I'm 33 and have had my berg for about 5 years now. I have other stuff GSXR1000 K3 and cbr 600 track bike but the berg is the most fun for a quick play. Very noisy (Doma Big Bore full system) but good fun around the back roads or it brightens the trip to or from work with some nice wheelies. :bounce:

Should have been riding something difficult to ride as a learning aid, not by all accounts the easiest enduro bike of the lot to ride.

Steve

I started at 40 with a TTR250, 2 years later I bought a used FE400. I'm turning 45 and I can't imagine riding anything else. I've ridden some Japanese machines and KTM's and they are great, but I'm just not comfortable on them. Everything just seems to work and fit right on my 'Berg.

In other words . . . . I HAVE HAD A FULL SERVING OF THE KOOL-AID!!
