The 2009 Hbg will be raced this weekend in enduro use in Sweden by Jocke and Bjorne. Jocke has claimed (on his website) that the 450 handles like a 250.

We'll see how it does, Anders went public on his BMW450 last weekend and won the 1st round of the winterenduro, so the guantlet has been thrown down.

The BMW was raced pretty extensively already last year, so it has a headstart on public development.

I think with Joakim, Husaberg has one of THE top riders in Europe, and I predict high finishes for Husaberg.
 
So perhaps we will see the 09 in WEC competition this year :D
 
I have been told by some VERY reliable sources that Joakim is running 7 seconds per lap faster on his personal test track with the 09 than with his full factory 07 FE450.
 
A friend of mine has actually tested the new generation at a nearby enduro track (do you say enduro track? loop perhaps?). The R&D/marketing guys sometimes ride it on weekends and since they are such good guys they let other enthusiasts test it. I haven't gotten my chance yet though :cry:

Have tested the bike for five hours and it is wicked. Feels like a 250 to handle but with the grunt of a 450.

Nu till helgen blir det första tävlingen på det nya året! Tänkte vara med i snöserien här hemma i Öfalla på lördag.

Är det någon som är sugen att se världens grymmaste enduro-hoj är det bara ni kommer dit o kollar. Ska göra premiär på Husabergs-2009 års modell 450cc med liggande motor. Det är bara en prototyp så plasten och mycket mer är inte alls som den kommer se ut, men det är iaf nya motorn, ramen och insprutningen.

Sedan kåsan har det varit lugnt från tävlngar, fast har ändå kört rätt mkt hoj. Har även hunnit med en vecka i Åre där jag åkte snowboard, riktigt skoj!

Hi

This weekend comes the first race of the new year. Thought I'd participate in the "snow series" in Öfalla nearby my home this Saturday.

If anyone wants to see the worlds coolest enduro bike you just have to show up. I'll do the premier ride race on the 2009 Husaberg 450cc with the leaning engine. It's just a prototype so the plastic and lots more will not look as they will look later but engine, frame and injection is the new stuff.
I have been testing it for five hours now and it is wicked! Feels like a 250 to handle with the grunt of a 450.

Since Novemberkĺsan there has been no races but I have ridden quite a lot anyway. I have also been doing some snowboarding in Ĺre, which was great fun.

Hope to see you in Öfalla this weekend!!!

Hmmmm, I really want to go and see the new bike in action. I have some 50km to Öfalla from my house... Time will tell... If I go I'll post pics here as soon as I get home :wink:

How long is his personal test track? 2 minutes or 7 hours?

Quite an asset that Husaberg have in Jocke. (He won Kasan as well, can you think of a more prestigeous enduro than that? Hardly.) And at KTM I'm sure they are happy that there is something somewhat associated with KTM that beats the new and fantastic BMW which is also being released later this year. It will be exiting to see which of the two wonder bikes that have the edge. This is a 1-0 to Husaberg, a small one, but still, many pepole have their eyes on these new generation bikes.
 
Looks like factory WP suspension, or at least Ti-Nitride coating on the forks.
