Cool. That should be perfect timing for me to pick up a FS550e :D

I'm not sure if I should be afraid to ask..... 'nik of the year' ?

Thanks,

Nevermind... figured it out :banghead:

It's the same nik I use on other forums, but most people assume it means I'm an a$$ :dontknow:

I'll add an avatar so you get a better idea.[/i]

Hey those are nice looking bikes. I'm glad that Huseberg was confindent enough to make small refinements to the already great bike. Now the question is; "is Husaberg still on top, or have the redesigned KTM enduro bikes and revised Husqvarnas (13 lb weight loss with new chassis) caught up to (or passed) Husaberg?"

Yes, 08 Husqvarna's will have EFI and loose ~13Lbs...and lots of other mods in the bikes...and their looks is awesome

I think you must be referring to '09?

No the 08 Huskys have EFI. Although they look similar to the 07s, the 08s are completely new with the exception of the motors.

keep hearing this about the '08 huskies. where's the info come from? cos what i'm hearing is '09 is to be the big husky revamp same as berg.

Maybe the two brands are mixed up? People are generally more happy with consensus than with the truth.

Go over to Thumpertalk and check out the Husky section. There are plenty of links to 2008 Husky info.

will go and have a look.
seem to recal several large posts on thumper talk proclaiming loudy that honda would be the first jap manufacture to have a efi , yet it turned out to be suzuki.so will treat any "a bloke in a bike shop/dealership/pub/bar told me" with a little bit of scepticism

looks pretty convincing that the 08 huskies may well have efi. even if they don't they're looking hot!
think berg are going to have to pull out something special when they finally do intro a new bike.
will email the uk importer to ask about the huskies.

Actually even the '08 engines received several improvements...
New auto decomp, new oil filter (with more filtering capacity), new clutch, new right side case cover with a oil sight, etc.

EFI is made by Mikuni and includes a lambda sensor in the exhaust system...so, it should self adjust when you put a racing pipe  ...that's one thing that Sherco, GasGas,etc. don't have, AFAIK.

As for 2009, that will be the year of the new 250 4S that can work easely at 13000rpm and go up to 14000rpm with a very small stroke...it will weight 22Kg in a KS_only version...there will be also a ES version also.

The info is semi-official... i.e. it comes from dealers/importers that disclosed the info/details of the mods...also, lots of pics at www.moto.it, www.motociclismo.it ,etc.

They've been working on them for three years already. Everything will be new. A fellow competitor of me has tested the new ones. ( 09)

I had thought so too. A lambda sensor won't hold up to the conditions that are placed on it in offroad conditions. Maybe the Supermotos can handle em, but not offroad. That is why the other guys don't have 'em.

Hey fellas,

ADB (Australasian Dirt Bike) have done a test ride on the pre production 250 Husky, and all information is pointing to a full line up of EFI bikes for '08.

Incidentally, has anyone noticed how the shape of the '08 subframe (allbeit a removable alloy unit) resembles the rear end of the Berg? staggered brace tubes etc, and the exhaust & silencer have moved to the LHS of the bike?

I agree that they (the Huskies) do look pretty nice, but I'd take one of the 2008 'IceBergs' at the drop of a hat!!

Azza.

Hmmmm...maybe but the place where they put it is well placed...the only way to something hit it is if it cuts your left leg 1st 8O

...and i got the info that the ECU has two EFI maps...to use the racing map, you remove/disconnect the lambda sensor and make a electrical connection to make the EFI open loop instead of closed loop.
